As an "adult", its pretty easy to see when someone is legitimately happy with themselves and when they're just trying to fake it till they make it. Now, I'm not one to judge someone on how they cope with their struggles, but people have to realize that we all have something troubling us. Pretending that you don't feel the way others do is a mask that you don't want to wear, believe me. I've attempted it, I never wanted anyone to know that sometimes things were just really bad for me. I quickly found out that trying to cover everything up just made me more and more miserable! Don't get me wrong, it is definitely hard to find someone that is willing to listen to you and try to understand how you're feeling. But when you do find someone like that, DO NOT take them for granted! And while you're venting to them, keep in mind they may need someone to listen to them just as much as you do. We are literally all the same, some people hide their pain better than others, most people don't handle things so well. MOST PEOPLE! As in almost EVERYONE! Trying to pretend you're okay all the time will just make you crazy! You're not the only one, even if it feels that way 90% of the time, I promise you there is someone that could easily empathize with you. I honestly cannot stress this enough. I can assure you that no one is buying that pompous attitude and the confident strut you've got. Sure, its a good look on the outside, and if you'd rather keep your business to yourself, by all means do your thing. But if you can't look at yourself in the mirror and say "I'm happy, I don't have any problems.", then don't you dare give anyone else s**t about their life choices and their coping mechanisms and how they choose to fend for themselves. I don't get what it is with people these days. Life is not a competition, it is going to suck and then we're going to die, that is literally it. So why not do some good and help each other be a little less miserable?
