Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
In Roman myth Cupid is the god of desire, affection, and erotic love. He is often depicted with wings, a bow, and a quiver of arrows. His mother (Venus) became jealous of a princess by the name of Psyche who was so beloved by her subjects that they stopped worshiping Venus. He was sent to make the princess fall in love with the evilest thing in the world. Before he could shoot her he accidentally scratched himself with his magic arrows do he fell in love with her. Every night he visited her but kept himself hidden. He told her not to try to see him but curiosity won out when her sisters told her he was a monster. This angered him and he left. She spent her life looking for him around the world.eventually she ended up going to Venus who still being mad at her gave her a series of task. Eventually Cupid found out and Jupiter gave her immortality so she could be with Cupid.
