You always ask me who I'm sleeping with,
But my answer never changes.

What are you so afraid of? We've been doing this for months and you're still the only one.

Does it freak you out that I don't beg to talk to you every day? Or even once a week? Does it freak you out knowing that if you don't approach me, you won't hear from me at all?

I wonder what you wonder about, as you think of me. Do you worry that I'm off with some guys, having the time of my life, without so much as a regard for what you'd think or feel?

We're not together, we both know and accept this as a fact. But we did make a commitment to each other, one that I've promised to keep intact. As long as you and I are still doing whatever we're doing, I won't sleep with anyone else.

I trust that you won't sleep with anyone else either.

Now, I really don't care if you make out with other chicks, if you even fool around a little. As long as you don't actually have sex, I really don't care.

Because I know you won't taste anyone else on your lips, you don't like that.
Because I know you're pretty shy, so even though you're handsome, you won't ever approach anyone to start anything.

After all, I was the one that approached you. I was the one that laid it out on the table, that told you love wasn't an option but we could be friends who help each other when we need each other.

But I think you're afraid because you'll be in Vermont for a while, I think you worry there's some unspoken understanding that if you're gone for 30 days, I'm a free agent and I can do whatever I want.

But I'm not like that, and I wish you would've taken the time to understand that.

I might kiss a lot of people, but you're the only one I'll ever take home.
