Don't put milk in your tea before you put sugar in or you won't get married.
Undissolved sugar in the bottom of a sugar cup means someone is in love with you.
If you spill your tea a stranger is about to visit.
Only one person should pour the tea or bad luck will follow.
In some parts of England tea leaves scattered in front of a house will protect against evil spirits.
If loose tea is dropped accidentally it will bring good luck.
If you make weak tea you will loose a friendship. But if the tea is too strong you will make a new friend.
If a stalk floats on top of a cup of tea a stranger is coming. If the stalk is hard it will be a male. If the stalk is soft it will be a female. The length of the stalk will show the height of the person. If a stem is standing upright this is a sign of good luck.
