The other day I saw a blue jay and it got me thinking about the blue bird of happiness. So today we will look at blue birds.

Bluebirds have many widely accepted meanings. They are symbols of such things as happiness, cheerfulness, prosperity, health births, etc. It can also be a sign of confidence or egotism. A dead one is a sign of growing older and wiser, loss of innocence, and disillusionment.

Native American bluebirds were considered sacred. Lots of times it is connected to the sun. In Russian fairytale it is a symbol of hope. In Korea bluebirds also serve the gods by flying around and spying on mortals.
