Chapter 2

Syrin helped the doctor up and took him to her car. It was a very nice Ferrari. It was black and the windows were so black that you couldn’t even see the inside. She saw him staring at it. “Its custom made. I asked for the windows that dark. I didn’t buy it that way.” She said. He looked at her questionably. She smirked. “I gotta thing for no sunlight hitting the car. It saves money for me not to buy sunglasses. And if I’m in the sun too long I get a headache.” The doctor nodded his head. She could see that he understood and plus, that was all true. She still gets a little headache when she’s outside too long. She got to the passenger side of the car and opened the door. She gently sat him down and went to the back seat to get the first aid. She took out some alcoholic wipes and a bandage wrap.
While she was cleaning his head he asked her a question. “Um…so…what’s your name?”
She looked down at him quick. “Well isn’t it the person who asked the question supposed to tell his name first?” She already knew his name but she decided to play it safe. He looked at her and laughed a bit. “Haha, I guess your right. My name is Kakashi Mizuka. So I said my name now its your turn.” She looked at him. “My name is Syrin Motonoshi.”
“Pleased to meet you Syrin.”
“Nice to meet you too. Okay. Done.”
Kakashi put his hand on his head to check it. It was perfect, like she was doing it for years. He stood up, if a little bit wobbly, and bowed. “Thank you very much.” He said.

“No problem. Now sit back down I’m gonna take you home.” He started at her with amazement. “Um. No. I couldn’t do that! I mean you already did a lot for me…” Syrin looked at him skeptically. “Look, if I didn’t want to do it then I wouldn’t have asked you. Besides, you look like your about to fall over just standing there. Just think about it. You might get jumped again. Kakashi heard this and it made perfect scene. But he didn’t know what to do. Even though they exchanged names he really was talking and associating with a stranger. All in all, he really didn’t trust her.
“Where do you live? " Syrin's voice suddenly cut through the brief silence, making him jump slightly " Wh-what?"
The young female rolled her eyes, repeating slowly “where-do-you-live? ". Kakashi rested his hands on his head lightly, his head a still bit fuzzy from the attack “It’s...er, I'll…point out the directions as we go along the way " he answered, his voice shaking a little.
Syrin replied with a faint grunt of annoyance as she turned the car keys and with the soft hum of the engine, the vehicle roared down the dark, silent street.
They both sat in silence during that time, Syrin kept her eyes on the road as Kakashi laid back into the chair, his eyes fixed on the fresh drop of rain, shortly followed with many others as the heavens opened and his eyes started to close.
"Hey " Syrin said, nudging him sharply with her elbow, he made a low groan in his throat, straighten up in his seat again " Yeah? "
“You’re supposed to direct me to your house, remember? ". Kakashi sat up fully " Oh yeah!, sorry. It's been a long day, you know? I wasn't exactly looking around to be attacked by some crazy guy “he laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
Syrin smiled a little, a small faint smile as she looked at him, then turned back to the road " So.." she started " how'd you get into your line of work? Being a doctor? "
“My father was one...And my grandfather before him. It's like a family tradition thing; almost every male in my family has done it so...why not? "
She nodded, another small smile forming on her face " it must be nice, I can't really say the same.." Kakashi looked at her with concern in his eyes, he was about to say something but then didn't, only to sit back into the seat. “But it's alright, I've learned to come to grips with it, it really isn't all that bad”
Though she didn't realize it yet, but the thing that could very well change her destiny was sitting right beside her in that very car.
The doctor pointed to a nearing cross-road “turn left here ".
