Saturday.
God, it's a beautiful day outside. And of course I'm not stepping outside until round about 6 pm today... Ah, the things I do for pals. It's a super-duper wrestling EXTRAVAGANZA tonight, and my beloved karaoke won me two free tickets. Well, since my favorite mommy-lady is a pro-wrestling nut and needs a bit of a break from being mommy-lady, I do a good thing, though this really isn't my thing. Ah, well. I look forward to it. It will be a new and interesting form of theatre that I haven't actually partaken in.
Status report? Ah, I don't know. Life's good? I had a Mike's with lunch (all of an hour and a half ago...) but I'm actually feeling it right now, just a little. It's just weird, because I never drink alone. A social lush, that's me!
Really, I'm just itching for more news from Hammer and Tongs, those brilliant guys who're putting out the most highly-anticipated movie of 2005: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. You may scoff at this evaluation, but frankly, some people have been waiting twenty years for this movie, and now they're going to get it, and get it good. *tingle* Ooh, and the special H2G2 song is playing on my computer right now. "Marvin, I Love You." If you know the books, look for this song, because you'll love it.
I'm trying to decide if I like the casting of Warrick Davis (Willow) as Marvin. See, a friend has discussed this with me about how he always pictured Marvin as this super large hulking robot thing (with this terrible pain in his diodes all down his left side), not a pint-sized robot. Brain the size of a planet, and all that. Strangely, though, I do like Mos Def as Ford Prefect. It was never how I pictured it, but he does ... fit. And Sam Rockwell as Zaphod. Yes. Dear god yes. But enough about casting. People can bicker over that, and I feel no need to make any more statements beyond those anyway.
Now, as for Trillian being half-alien? I question it, but I reserve judgement until I see the film. I find myself trusting Karey Kirkpatrick. But, as the unofficial website says in its latest news post, this deepens her character and also makes Arthur the difinitive last earth man (pure history, man, a talking monkey!) which means he's the only one with the Answer programmed into his noggin.
Ah, well. Linkies!

And today's chuckle/thinky moment?
481. The world has gone totally mad, so I've built an asylum to put it in, poor thing, and I hope it will get better.
