I was born in Japan. I'll bet you didn't know that. My parents were both in the Navy, stationed in Misawa, which is located in the northeast portion of the main Japanese island of Honshu in Aomori Prefecture (approximately 400 miles north of Tokyo).
Knowing all this has really affected me throughout my live (all 21 years of it). For as long as I can remember, I've always been fascinated with the land of my birth, possibly because it (Japan, that is) gave birth to a culture almost completely unlike the one I have grown up with. And the fascination has steadily grown, until I've found myself absorbed by certain aspects. The music, for instance.
I've been filling my empty apartment of late with sounds of the taiko drums. I've managed to find a whole lot of tracks (thanks to Kazaa and Morpheus, I'll admit) that I can play over and over again.
Hm... I seem to have left a point very far behind. Oh well.
