Bleh... Sunday. I should have slept another hour or so... Nothing is on TV, despite the bazillion channels I have due to the sattelite TV (normally a primo thing) and so I'm listening to the same playlist I've been listening to for the last week and a half or so. Right now it's Susan Tedeschi with "Rock Me Right" I hope to sing this song at karaoke sometime soon.
Today is a day for me getting my homework done earlier than usual, and that kind of makes me a little sad. I like doing my homework in the evenings, but alas, for I have an evening meeting this night, and I don't know how long it will run. Hopefully not long.
I wonder if all colleges put so much emphasis on graduating a well-rounded student. I've been in college for three years straight now, and it's only due to my lack of foresight that I haven't taken one of my most dreaded classes that I now deal with - Mastering Lifetime Learning Skills. The name just makes you shudder, doesn't it? Luckily, I'm taking it online, so I don't have to worry about what will happen if I skip class, because there is no class to skip. But still. The assignments are inane. I had to keep track of everything I did this week in fifteen minute increments. Yeah, it's to see how I manage time. But I have to type it up and email it to the prof. Ugh.... Seriously, its easier to get through a lecture about Nietsche than it is to deal with this class.. Maybe it's teaching me things, maybe it isn't. But it's classes like this one that's going to keep me from graduating with all the speedyness that most people seek.
Ah, but then I'm different I guess. I'm really enjoying college (at least, college as it pertains to those classes I'm interested in and enjoy attending). I like learning these things, and I like being able to work on campus with all my best pals. That's the nice thing about theatre. With the right mix of people, your coworkers become your best pals, and that makes work pretty fun. So maybe I'm not all that keen on graduating. Maybe that's why this one class is such a drag for me, because I know that passing it will take me one step closer to that mystical, dangerous "real world." Here be dragons, folks.
Linkies! Instant Classic, a comic about movies!
Ah, oh well. Here comes the brain thinky moment time. And for any to note, most of these are from books or movies or things, not many are my own invention. All statements are copywright of their respective owners and all that business. I just took them out of context, gave them a number, and placed them where some may see.
3452. You’re not my coworkers! You’re my god-damn friends!
