Garrison and Kalypto went to Calitornia. They didn't expect to find what they did. I do not know the details but I know it went something like this.
The streets were disserted. The buildings abandoned. Cars were scattered everyhere. Some were still running, others were smashed into the sides of buildings. Several buildings had burned down.
Garrison walked down the middle of a littered road, carrying a notebook with him. Trash skittered around his feet. Kalypto trailed behind him. The sky was orange, but it was one in the morning. Everything had a yellow tinge to it, like looking through a pair of sunglasses.
"They're gone. All gone. Is this even possible? Every living thing in California is gone." Kalypto sighed. Garrison turned to look at her, opening the notebook. "I... I could try to write them back. I might be able to do it.". Kalypto shook her head. "No Garrison, you can't. This is our world now. Remember? You couldn't write them out of existence, so you can't write these people back in.
"So what? So I couldn't write the rainman away. Just because he changed, just because he-" "Stop it Garrison! You can't do it! The rainman grew three more arms! Do you remember that?! He ripped somebodies child apart with those extra arms! Do you remember that?! If trying to write him out did that, what will writing them back in do? Turn then into zombies? I don't want to be around if you try."
Garrison closed the journal, exhaled loudly and said "I didn't mean to. I don't know what happened... The words kinda floated on the page and just rearranged themselves. I'm sure if I try harder and just focus more, I'm sure I could do it.". Kalypto shook her head again. "No Garrison. No. I don't want to risk it agai-". The scream of a child filled the air. "There!" Garrison shouted and ran torwards an alley.
A small child was crouched down, hugging his knees. Kalypto aproached him, placing her hand upon his shoulder. The child looked up at her and she gasped and quickly took a step back. "Garrison, run!" "What? Why?" the child stood up. "Hello mommie. Hello daddy. Did you come to play?"
