Well, I'm not THAT late right? sweatdrop
Well, I have alot to say, so I shall entertain you with this:
THE MOVIES OF SUMMER '09!
So yeah, I've watched quite a few movies this summer, some great, some...well not-so-great. And here I give you my short-snappy-and-to-the-point reviews!
Beauty and the Beast
I hadn't seen this movie in quite awhile, but I was charmed none the less. It was very sophisticated, yet humorous. It's many elements come into play, and make it a fantastical Disney classic. Not to mention the fantabulous animation and catchy music numbers!
8.5/10
Amistad
A vey, very sad and morbid movie! It's very good though, and it's based on a true story. If you like bitter-sweet, gruesome, and heart-tearing guilt trips, this movie is for you! Some parts of it drag a little, but you really feel for the characters! Also educational, for bonus points. (P.S- It's an AP movie! I highly recommend it!)
8/10
Yes Man
So this was just another happy-go-lucky movie with a few cheap laughs. It was very entertaining, but it lacked substance and plot. It's pretty carefree with a few "huh?"s thrown in for the heck of it. Not the best comedy, but good for bored nights.
6.8/10
Last of the Mohicans
Worst movie I've ever seen. It makes no sense, the characters suck, and you can't hear half of the movie. It's utterly ridiculous, and totally confusing. It's one of the examples of a book-turned-movie gone bad. Never watch it. Ever. (Unless you have a brick to slam your head into)
2/10 (The only reason I gave it a 2 is because it gave me something to laugh about afterwards)
Twilight
Yes, I rented Twilight. Not only was it totally different from the book, the direction was terrible. Kristen Stewart's flat performance makes me want to throw a brick at the TV (Whoa, double feature for Mr. Brick!) Edward's expressions make me burst out laughing at intense moments. Jasper's face is ridiculous looking, Bella comes off as self-centered, and Victoria, James, and Laurent are far too tame. Terrible all around, but still very funny and weird.
3/10
Bolt
Awww, it's such a cute movie! It's funny, charming, and entertaining. The story line is nothing new, and alot seems utterly unrealistic. It does have certain connections though, especially if you have a dog. Mittens' sarcasm is hilarious, but don't expect to be rotfl-ing. The plot does lack pizazz however, and the producer comes off as a total stereotype. Then again, if you like shallow animated movies, check it out!
7/10
Up
Simply stunning! The story line is complex, filled with subplots and twists. It has many deep elements, some that seem far too mature for an animated movie. The characters are truely dynamic, with lot's of interesting attributes. Best of all, it doesn't fish for laughs, like alot of animated movies. It's genuinly funny, but sad too. It's also exciting, with plenty of action. You really feel for the characters, and it's really cool to see the characters grow bonds with each other. Highly, highly recommended!
9.5/10 (It only lost .5 a point because of a minor *facepalm*)
And that concludes my movie reviews! Now here is a list of movies that I look forward to seeing, based on previews and other knowledge.
- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
- Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
- New Moon (Hey, it'll be funny right? sweatdrop )

Um yeah, that's it! I hope to write again soon! (3 months later...)

Yeah, the planes were a Face-Palm moment I will admit...
But other than that...
