a poem i wrote.....

As i sit and think
the pain shadows me
it makes me feel alone
like i'm with an enemy
i try to get away
but it's always there
it seems to be too much
more than i can bare
the lies cover me
so dark i can not see
i try to push past them
all i want is to be free
caught in a web
soon to be the spider's prey
i cry alone
as no one leads the way
i can't escape in my dreams
for it will follow
as i see thoughts play over
so deep yet so hollow
soon turn to nightmares
which will always stay
it seems so real
like i saw it the other day
i don't know what will happen
or if it will always be like this
i could run away
but there are things i would miss
i could leave them behind
most of my enemies
but i will never escape
my painful memories
