Greed watched as Lena went through her things. She was getting ready for her trainride that was going to take her away for two years with Olivia.

She whipped her booksack over her back and headed tords the door. That was when she stopped and looked at him one last time. Greed only smiled down at her. He was treasuring the last seconds he had with her. That was when he suddenly felt the push of her lips on his.
"I'll be back before you know it." she pointed at him after releasing him. That was when she ran out the room and out of the Devil's Nest.

So how long did I expect love to outweigh ignorance

After he left he sat on her bed and rested his head on his hands. He couldn't get her off his mind. Greed had no idea how he was going to last two years without her.

He looked down at her bed. He rubbed his hand through her sheets then laid in the violet bed. He stared at the roof and sighed. Greed thought about it for a while and then realized how many times he had made Lena cry. But what he didn't think of untill now was how many times he had hurt her without realizing. He rolled over onto his side in the bed and sighed. Even though he hated to admit it. The last time he did hurt her was probably not the last time he would.

Shame pulses through my heart

This is nothing new

How many times had she cried, he did not know. But he did know some of the times she cried was mainly because she did not want to live anymore. He hated hearing her say that. That she didn't want to live anymore. How she wished she could just die by another's hand. She had even asked him to killher but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Even when he had his hands around her neck.

I left you bound and tied with suicidal memories
Selfish beneath the skin
But deep inside I'm not insane.

He pulled the pillow over his head and tried to repress how many times he had to see her cry. How long he had to keep the fact he wanted her so bad a secret. He resisted her so many times. But to think, in the end she was one of the things his greedy soul needed the most.As was he the one thing she really need and wanted in her life. And now that she was gone. He didn't know what he was going to do. He was so used to seeing her around and to have her suddenly vanish like that. It was allmost scary. The amazing thing was the fact he let her go. Was the greed inside of him deminishing before his eyes? But then again, with his selfish desires, if he saw her with another he would kill them on sight. No one ever touched his things. And in this case, no one touched his b***h.

There was one thing he knew though. He knew for a fact he was going to spoil her when she returned from her training. He was going to lavish her like a proud pet owner would lavish their beloved pet. He would buy her the best clothes, the best food, buy her anything her heart set on. He would do this and want nothing in return but her. Her eyes, her body, her soul, her love. He never wanted a human, let alone a chimera, as much as he wanted her. Greed promised himself, if anything was to happen to her. He would place his life on the line for her.

Now that I`ve lost you it kills me to say

For now, all he could do is wait. Wait for her to return. But how was he going to make it through those two years? That was when he made the decision. If he couldn't make it, he would spend those lonely minutes with someone who looked just like her. There was no replacing Lena. But there was filling the void for just a little while. Even though he knows its going to hurt her if she was to find out. But he told himself, he was going to hold her and never let go. He'll make it right. He just had to wait. "Come back to me...."
