Ties Which Bond: Chapter 5 :Soul Eater
"******** s**t!" Perro yelped as he was slung into a tree. The impact was hard, sending blinding white into his eyes. He leaned back against the tree and whiped his eyes with his hands. Blood trinkled down onto his fingertips causing him to jump. As the vision of white disappeared he looked down at the red that formed over his fingers. With a low growl he looked up and saw the uncoming bull man. Bunyan came full force, horns down tords Perro's abdominal. With a final bellow he came charging straight into him.

Suddenly, Perro jumped high into the canopy of the trees. Bunyan hit the tree hard, his horn stuck into the bark and oak. Perro landed behind Bunyan, catching his breathe and letting his amber eyes burn into the blue beast. "You really think your tough s**t, don't ya!?" He barked out.

Bunyan put his hands on the opposite sides of the tree, he pulled out full force. His horns came ripping out of the oak tree. As he stood full height and turned around to face his canine foe, the tree snapped and fell down. "Your pretty tough for a human. I bet your soul is nice and tender." Drool dripped down the blue bull's mouth.

"Heh, You wish I was human." Perro sneered as he spit blood out. "You know, your species is the type that gets eaten. Not the other way around. But hey," he raised his hands in defence. "I'm not complaining." he smirked as his fingernails slowly developed into claws.
Bunyan watched as Perro started to transform. A sly smile crept onto the snout of the beast. "This should be interesting.

Perro howled as his skin turned bright red. His eyes burned with a fire that Bunyan had never seen on a creature before. He snarled as he started to rip his skin off, showing fur under it. His nose slowly turned into a snout as his teeth grew sharper and twice the size they were originaly. His shirt ripped off completly showing lean muscles. Perro snickered as he extended his middle finger up torwds Bunyan. "Should have stayed at the bottom of the food chain, You cow." he voice was deeper and rougher than it had originally been.

Bunyan bellowed out enraged by the movement Perro had done. He stomped his hooves onto the ground. Reving himself up for the new upcoming enemy. Perro smirked as he changed fingers and beckoned Bunyan to come.

Nina woke up in a deep cave. It was dark, but there was a faint amber light in the corner of her eye. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness and saw the ambers clearly. The radiation of the flames felt good against her skin, but there was a heavy cold feeling on her chest.

That was when her memory snapped. She was stabbed and Perro was gone when she first past out. She sat up quickly but was when a rock came soaring at her head slamming her back onto the ground.
"Stay down. You don't need to be moving."

Nina rubbed her head and eyed the cave. She looked towrds the direction that the rock came and bit her lip. "What the heck man?! Where am I? Where is Perro?"

"I don't know any Perro. But I do know you got a hole in your chest, and that ice ain't going to heal it." The voice returned. From what Nina could hear, it was a man. A fairly big man.
Nina leaned up a bit and looked down at her self. She blushed noticing her clothes were off, with the exception of her bra and pumpkin panties.

"Your a pervert!" she crossed her arms and legs. That was when she noticed the cool spot under her hand and above her chest. She looked down to find a big slab of ice covering the hole in her chest perfectly like it was shield for her heart. But it was also like a display window. She saw through the ice straight down into the gaping hole.

"Sheez, You help a dying girl in the middle of the forest and this is the thanks you get." he sighed. Yup, He's a big guy. Nina thought to herself. His voice sounded a bit rough, strong, and if it wanted to, feirce.

"Well, what do you expect me to think at first?" Nina shot back sitting back up and looking for her clothes.
"Your suppose to think, 'Hey, I allmost died! What am I doing in a place like this? Oh noes, i could have died. Ah, whats this? What is ice doing on my chest? Hey, maybe someone saved me!' You know! Like in those movies where a big guy saves the damsel in distress?"
Nina rolled her eyes. "Put me back where you found me." she said bluntly.
"What?! But-"
"I didn't need your help. Now bring me back. Perro will be waiting."

"Perro huh?" The man finally stepped around the fire.

Nina's jaw dropped from how tall he was compared to what she was used to. His hair was dark brown and three long hairs in the front stuck up. Along his jaw line was rugged facial hair. Her eyes lowered down to his eyebrow that read "NO FUTURE"

That was when Nina's eyes locked onto his. She stared deeply into the two discolored eyes. One of them couldn't have been his. One of them, told of a life of wanting to excape fate, much like her own. But in the other, told the icy future of a new generation.

"Sounds like he's a good friend of yours from the way your talking about him. Oh! Maybe the relationship between you two will be like those old romance movies." He teased, litting his fingers crawl like spiders

"NO. Absolutely not. He's just a friend and nothing more, nothing less." she glared.
"Allright, allright, Don't have to get all defensive." he raised his hands in defence. Nina looked up and down at him. He had alot of muscle, they pertruded his black shirt. She looked down at his feet seeing that he didn't wear any shoes, but wore a chain ball in exchange. "What are you staring at?" he leaned his head to the side, bending over her.

"You look like you just excaped from prison." she tugged at his stripped pants leg.
"Good observation." he patted her head.
"So you have, I take it?" she smirked slapping his hand off.
"Sure did, Right now I'm waiting for a friend of mine." he rubbed the back of his head as he sat next to her. "Damn that Eruka..." he growled.

Nina brought her legs up to her chest, feeling the cold over her thiegh. "It will look bad if your girlfriend saw you with another girl who, may I point out, is half naked." she teased.
"She's not my girlfriend! I just met her! And look whos the pervert now." he blushed and looked away.
Nina laughed and then looked into the fire. "So....How did you get the ice to do this?" she tapped the plate on her chest.
"Oh, A bit of magic here and there. Only did it so that when Eruka gets here, she can heal you."

Nina backed up a bit from him.
"What?" He cocked his eyebrow.
"You guys wouldn't happen to be witches....Would ya'll?" she reached for her shirt. She could at least try and use the huge zipper on it, as a weapon, if needed.
The man smiled halfheartedly and looked back at the fire. "Eruka is. I'm not. I just know a bit of magic. I'm just a common day werewolf." he chuckled.
Nina sighed in relief. "Well thats a load off."
The man jumped at that.
"As long as I get out of here before that Witch gets here, I'm fine." she grinned at him.

"So..You rather be around a werewolf then be around a witch." he leaned his head to the side, trying to understand her. "I would think we were equally as scary to humans." He rubbed his chin.
"Well, Perro is a werewolf. Why should I be afriad of you?" she stood up.

"Not all werewolves are as kind as we are." he turned to look back into the fire. "There are some werewolves that dispise the very thought of a human and a werewolf being friends."
"Why? Is that how you feel?" She grabbed her blood soaked shirt and shook it.
The man jumped and smiled. "In truth. Yeah. Pretty much. I don't like humans period."
"Then what was the point of saving me?" She slipped her hand through her sleeve and adjusted it a bit.

The man scratched the back of his head and grinned. "Good question."
She grabbed for her pants and slipped her legs through. "Well, for whatever reason, thanks. I owe you my life. I would probably still be laying on the ground bleeding to death, if it wasn't for you. You obviously stopped the blood with the ice, so I need to go back to Shibusen and get some real medical treatment." She zipped up her pants and turned around to look at him. "I'll repay you one day. But first, what's your name."

"Hmmm.....Name's Free." He finally turned to look at her.
"Nina." she lifted her hand to him for him to shake.
He looked at it for a second then grabbed hold of her small hand. "You do realize, since your a member of Shibusen, we will be enemies once you leave."
"I'll still repay you." she promised.
"Allright then." he let her go.
"Till then Fwee Fwee." She giggled as she waved and ran out of the cave.
"Fwee Fwee?! What the heck does that mean?!" He growled watching her leave. But his growl slowly turned into a chuckle.

Nina ran out fast. She looked around for Perro. No sight of him. She looked up into the night sky and saw a girl ontop of what looked like a giant tadpole. Nina sighed and ran into a bunch of bushes. "Must be that Eruka chick...." she mumbled. "I ain't got time for this...." she looked away and started into the underbrush.

Eruka was a young frog witch. Hey eyes were big and round and two red circles layed on the cracks of her lips. Her hat was tall and her dress had many spots on it. She brushed her long blond har out of her face and sighed.

She looked around for anyone then entered the cave. "Hey, Free!" she called. "It's time to go." She stepped tords the fire and then stepped on the crimson on the dirt. She looked down and leaned her head to the side. "What is this?"
"Its nothing. Where are we going?" he stood up and slamed the chain ball into the fire, destroying it except for the ambers.
"Medusa needs us to do something."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Perro stumbled through the forest. He held the red spirit in his hand and stepped through the darkness. "NINA!" he called trying to keep his balance. "Where are you?" he fell to his knees where she once layed on the ground. The smell of her blood layed everywhere. He sniffed the ground and smelled her sweet blood. That was when another scent hit his nostrals. A werewolf's scent.
He shivered at the though of what could have possibly happened to her. "NINA!" he paniced. "Where are you?! Nina!" he stood up and looked around in panic. "Nina!"
Nina heard his screams and headed in his direction. "Perro!"
Perro's ear twitched. "There she is...." he mumbled.
Nina broke through the bushes and saw him collapse onto the ground. "PERRO!" she shrieked, Seeing him covered in blood, from head to toe. His shirt was gone and slashes played across his chest. "Perro! Oh god..." She fell to her knees and picked him up into her arms. "Please...Don't die..." she sobbed.
"You haven't...So I wont." he grinned halfheartedly.
Nina returned the smile.
"I got Bunyan's soul." he raised the red spirit in his hand.
"Thats great!" she sobbed and whiped her eyes. "You did an amazing job...I wish I could have been there to see it."
"It wasn't all that wonderful..."he chuckled. "I heard these spirits, are suppose to have alot of power in them."
"Then eat it....Its our first one. So chow down. It will help us get back to Shibusen." she chuckled through her tears.
"Allright." he opened his mouth and slurped down the soul. He munched on it for a little while then let the spirit slide down his throat. He then opened his eyes all the way. "Whoa...That felt weird."
"What?" she leaned her head to the side.
"I feel a bit better." he sat up but slouched over a bit.
"Thats good." she stood up and gave him her hand. "Lets get going."
Perro grabbed her hand and pulled himself up. "Hey, Nina..." he smiled.
"What?" she whiped her face with her free hand.
"Next time. I'm choosing the mission."
