Not the Light

Kenpachi had dozed off next to her. He was dreaming. He was dreaming nothing had happened. Elena was still warm and happy as usual. Then suddenly her body was covered in a light. He reached out to grab her but the light was to bright. All he could see was a sly smile on her face.

He woke to the sudden shaking on the bed. He looked at her and saw her shaking furiously. It was the shaking of having a nightmare. It had been while since he had seen her have one. It was kind of a shocker to him. But the problem was.It seemed the shaking was getting worst as the minutes went by.

She ran. She ran as fast as she could away from the light. She saw him. Standing alone in the darkness. She tried to scream but he never heard her. She turned around and saw the light behind her. She shook her head. She wanted to follow him through the darkness,to be his light. Soon the light took over her.

He watched her shake worst. Suddenly her hand latched over her chest. Her face reflected a harsh pain. He stood up and knew something wasn't right. Her breathing was starting to get heavy. she wasn't breathing like a normal person.

The light wrapped around her legs and arms. It consumed her. It blinded her.She fought the light but then something started to fall onto her lips. It was like liquid but it was thick with the taste of metal. I dawned onto her, It tasted like blood. The blood continued to fall into her mouth. The warm ooze began to fill her stomach, but she didn't fight it. She actually lavished in the blood in filled her with streangth and power. The light suddenly let her go. Letting her fall into the darkness. Someone caught her. She looked up to see him. He was smiling at her. But she didn't feel happy. She felt hungry. He put her down and wrapped his arms around her neck. She smiled. She then opened her mouth and let her canines bit into his neck.

Her eyes flashed open and she leaned over the bed. She couldn't hold back the bile that was coming up. She threw up all over the floor. She clutched her chest. It was the worst pain she ever had. There two things that were giving her pain. The bile that came up in streams and the intense pain in her chest.

Kenpachi watched in horror to watch all of this happen to her. "Elena!" He sat next to her after she finished throwing up and rested her against his chest. She was shaking and crying.
"It hurts!" She screamed.
He growled and looked at the door. "********! Someone get in here and help her!" He shouted. He looked back down at her and bit his lip. "Damn." He muttered. He began to rock her back and forth in his arms. "Sssshhhh...."He was trying to help er relax." Don't worry, It's allright." He whispered.
Her eyes were wide open and overflowing with tears."I'm scared...."She whispered.
"I know. Just hold on allright. Your going to be fine. Relax." He brushed the hair from her face and kissed her forhead.
She shivered and held her heart.

Soon, Unohana and Isane ran into the room. "Zaraki ,We need you to leave!" Unohana shouted.
"No."His grip tightened around her."I'm staying here."
Unohana moved Elena from his grip and layed her back down on the bed. "As you wish." She wasn't about to fight the capatin of the 11th Division.
Kenpachi in a chair next to the bed and held Elena's hand.

Isane pulled an Oxygen tank out of the closet and wrapped the mask around Elena's face. Unohana grabed a cyringe and injected a strange liquid into her. She then took a transfusion pack that Isane set up and put the needle into Elena's arm.
Elena'e eyes began to close. She looked up at Kenpachi. "Am....Am I dieing?"
He gave her a slight smile."Yeah..You'll be stone cold in a matter of minutes." He chuckled. She smiled a little then passed out.

He looked at Unohana. From the sound of the machine next to them he heart beat was back to normal.
"What happened to her?"Hs eyes narrowed.
"She had a heart attack.It happened because of stress. Thats all you need to know." Unohana lowered her eyes. Isane left the room and wiped the sweat from her forhead.
"It shouldn't happen again, should it?"
Unohana shook her head.
"It was all because of her nightmares." His grip on her hand increased. "I promise, Elena. You will never have another one."

Unohana smiled and left the room. It was only right to leave the two alone. They had been through alot in the past 2 days.
