Sink



Elena and Ikkaku went out on a mission a month since that arguement. Elena remembered everything Yumichika had told him. It allmost pained ehr took look at him.
"What's the matter with you?"
Elena's eyes jumped becuase of the sudden question.
"You've been acting different around me. Whats wrong?" He turned to look at her.
"It's nothing, I promise." She gave a nervous smile.
"You shouldn't promise things, you know is thats a lie."
She sighed. "You could allways read me like a book." Suddenly from the forestry a snake like hollow attacked.

Elena jumped back and smiled. She was about to run in untill Ikkaku jumped in front of her. "This one is mine." He jumped and slashed it's side. He screamed as he went in for another slash.

Elena watched and couldn't help but to smile. Ikkaku was her idol. When he fought, All she wanted to do was watch him. Because he was allways able to defeat his enemy. Just as that thought flashed trough her mind he destroyed the hollow with one big slash to it head.

He whiped the blood of his blade and sheathed it. He looked at Elena with a smile and thumbs up, but then he's face changed from relaxed, to shock. Elena followed his eyes behind her. She quickly turned to see the Captain of the 3rd Squad. Gin Ichimaru.

Elena jumped back and they both bowed. "Hello,Captain Ichimaru." She lifted her head and gave a nervous smile.
"Hello, Elena. Your the person I've been looking for. I need to speak with you in private." He smiled. Ikkaku swallowed and put a hand on Elena's shoulder.
"That means I need you to leave, Maderame." Gin opened one of his eyes to show the red in them.
Ikkaku lowered his head to look at Elena. She smiled at him. "Don't worry. I'll be fine."
He dropped his hand and then smiled at her. He gave a nod and then vanished from her side.

Gin walked around Elena just like a animal would walk around his prey. "Elena. How have you been?"
She clinched her hand and smiled." I've, been fine. You?"
"You know. Chi told me she loved me."
"Really? Thats great!" She smiled.
"I'm quite happy she did. I was beginning to wonder if she did. Love is really a wonderful thing. Isn't it?" He leaned his head to the side so that he was faceing her.
"Y-Yeah, it is." She was begining to sweat.
"Really? Elena, may I ask you how you know your in love?"
She jumped at the question. "Well...I...."
"What? You can't just come out and say it? Why must you think about it?"
"I...Um.." she stammered.
"I'm just trying to help you. After all you are Chi's best friend. I'm only looking out for her close ones." He smiled.
"Sir...I don't understand. Why are you telling me this?" She was starting to shout.
"Do you honestly think a man with bloodlust could really love someone?"
She jumped. She also began to shake. "Yo-
He cut her off. "Just hear me out. He has had a life without you for years. Why all of sudden should a beast have a change of heart? How do you know he's not filling you with lies. After all, what he does obviously makes you stronger ,and thats all he really wants, isn't it? You of all people should know that."
Elena lost all train of thought. Her eyes trailed to the ground and she fell to it. "No...He said..."
He walked up to her and placed his hand on her head. "People say alot of things to get waht they want. Adn all he wants is your streangth. Not you." He then walked away from her waving, "I'm sorry Elena. But I have to go. I can't leave Chi waiting on me. Bai Bai." He vanished.

Elena eyes overflowed with tears. she couldn't stop crying. It came at her full blast. "Kenny....." She whispered. She stood up. She shook her head. "I can't go back...." She grabed her head. "I can't go back!" She screamed. She looked up to the sky. Dark clouds were gathering. She looked ahead of her then. Her eyes continued to overflow with tears but instead of standing there she began to walk. She walked deeper and deeper into the forest untill she found herself near a waterfall. Her eyes looked down and saw her reflection. She remembered everything he ad told her. Everything started to become a simple lie. Her whole life seemed to become the ripples on the water. Going on and on, untill she dissapears.

She began to get tired standing there. Her body tilted forward and she hit water. She didn't bother fighting the water back up. She just sank. She felt like she was floating. Her lungs began to hurt but all her pain didn't compare to what she felt in her heart. All she knew was that all he ever told her.............was a lie.
