Dear Santa,
i know this letter is extremely late but considering i still do not believe in you...well anyway this is my list and letter.
i am dropping the issue on the reindeer...for this year....
what i would like for Christmas is for you to change your image. i am not talking a hair cut or a new coat. nor am i talking a new sleigh and certainly no change with the reindeer! (still they could say hi, we do have a flat roof and all...)
as you could know we do not live in the best of neighbor hoods. well maybe you do not know because we do not see you around here. see that is the thing you are not around here. just like the police and everyone else you will not be venturing in to the west ward this Christmas. sure you will be up there on college hill with the well of kids but not down here spreading joy with the kids that need them. they are harden and cynical and they know to ask their parents for there play stations. the parents who can not afford it because they work hard or the parents that are spending money on drugs or are just not here. how many kids in my neighborhood ask for their parent to be out of jail?
so instead of bringing presents, because you do not bring them to everyone i want you to change your image to bring the Christmas sprite, Christmas joy, peace and good will and all the magic of the season. stop driving parents insane with buying presents. stop fostering greed in children who do not understand that their parents have to buy them. instead give us the gift of magic and hope and happiness. i would rather feel happy at this time then depressed and crazed over gifts. if you bring these gifts you could to all humans regardless of race or religion. then maybe we could see you in our neighborhood. please give us humanity for Christmas.
you started as a saint who gave dowries. on that note i could really use one. of course i could use someone to have the dowry for...
if you see what is going on and all that you know that...you know that...
so bring me a heart of stone. bring me a heart that is ice cold. something that will not be smushed anymore. since i can not have that romance, since i can not have that love, since i can not even have that friendship. just take it away.
yes ironically i want you to bring hope and magic to the human race and i still do. i just know that i can not have that in this situation. so just give me my stupid dowry and a hopeless chest to put that hopefully heart in and let me be rid of the smashed heart i have. let me have on that will not be hurt. one that will be smart and know to not fall in love.
so Santa what do you think? a new image for next year? something that brings the season to light again? i think you might like not hauling around all those play stations. it would probably be more fun for the elves to make too!
[edit] also what i would like is for the doves downstairs to be gone! release them, take them to the north pole, let the cats eat them, anything! please! the constant coo is driving me mad!

you know reindeer do have the magic of the season! they have that mystery and wonder and hope that they fly. of course flying is not necessary. i am just saying....reindeer are cool!
