I tore out my heart
So no one could tear it apart
I gouged out my eyes
So I couldn't see all their lies
I ripped my tongue out
So no one could hear my crying shouts
I closed up my ears
So then I could never hear
I let go of my mind
If only it was happiness I would find
It all died with me
The world would never be
Now I'll never be free
Darkness all around me
Because I can still feel
All that was never real
I was torn apart
Even when I had no heart
I still saw the lies
Even when I had no eyes
I still felt my crying shouts
Even when I ripped my tongue out
I still could hear
Even when I closed up my ears
I couldn't rid myself of my mind
Happiness is what I could never find
It all died with me
The world would never be
Now I'll never be free
Darkness all around me
Because I can still feel
All that was never real
