Wandering these darkened steets
The wind does chill her bone.
She reaches in vain for love,
Until she realizes she's alone.
Sleeping silently on the street
Jack Frost gnawing at her nose
This lonely daughter finds her love.
This is how her story goes.
Beaten against the cold.
Frozen amid the night.
A warmth washes or her body
And she reaches out for the light.
A soft warm hand she touches.
A gorgeous voice she hears.
A fire is lit deep in her heart
As the face of her soul mate appears.
Holding out his hand
He lifts her from the ground.
"Poor lonely girl," he whispers,
"With me you'll be safe and sound."
Bleeding was nothing but healing,
Dying was nothing but life,
Until she met her one true love
And slaughtered all her strife.
Fighting against her demons
She bravely stood her ground.
At last she stood alone again
As they uttered not a sound.
Now little one, you know
Of a woman who conquered Death.
She fought for the soul of her only love
Until her last dying breath.
Little girl I've shown you now.
When you gaze upon the water
See your face and remember child,
For you are the lonely daughter.
The wind does chill her bone.
She reaches in vain for love,
Until she realizes she's alone.
Sleeping silently on the street
