Dreams
These empty spaces between my fingers;
I gaze at them everyday.
Your fingers should be there
But you’re too far away.
I dream that we’re reaching
Across a vast, wide space
Our fingers almost touch,
But they don’t leave a trace.
We sit far away;
We sit on each side.
I sit there waiting
And I stare into your eyes.
We stay there for years,
Far more than some
But now our time
Has finally come.
We stand right back up
And reach one more time
Finally we touch
And our fingers intwine.
You pull me into
Your strong, waiting arms
While I am mystified
By your heavenly charms.
You hold my face in your hands;
Lock my lips with your own.
We kiss with a passion
That reflects the desires we have shown.
I hold you so tight;
I don’t want to let go.
I’m afraid that you’ll disappear
If I ever let go.
If you leave,
I don’t know what I’ll do.
But then you whisper in my ear,
“I love you.”
I feel like I’d melt
At the sound of your voice.
I’m glad that I met you;
I’ve made the right choice.
You pick me up in your arms
And carry me away.
Now we’re together
And

Truths and Wishes
You came out of nowhere; you blinded my sight.
You are my angel, my savior, my light.
You make me feel like I’ve never before.
You make my heart skip and then make it soar.
At first I was puzzled; I didn’t know,
That you are the one that could make my love flow.
I know you love me, and I love you too
But you are not here and I don’t know what to do.
We belong with each other, this I can say.
We’re like the sun and the moon; the night and the day.
Forever I’ve dreamed to find someone like you
And now that you’re here, I can say, “I love you”.
Forever I’ll wait to meet you one day
And when we’re together, forever we’ll stay.
We’ll walk on the beach, walk hand-in-hand,
Our memories will be the prints in the sand.
We’ll kiss in the sunset, embrace under the stars,
And when I get tired, I’ll sleep in your arms.
Then you’ll kiss my head and then hold me tight,
And I’ll dream away with my love and my light.
Oh how I long for your smile, your touch.
It’s so hard to live through, but I love you so much.
At night I lay down and see you in my mind.
This makes me smile; you’re my favorite find.
And in the morning when I shall awake
I know that my love for you will never shake.
You are the reason that I sustain every day.
I just want you to know that I’ve never felt this way.
You are my reason, my love, and my life.
Who knows; maybe someday I’d be your wife.
I stare at your picture and smile away.
I think of the days when you’ll be able to stay.
In class I think about the times that we’ll share
How you’ll look in my eyes and play with my hair.
I started this poem early today.
I guess that I just have so much to say.
The words of my love, I have written for you.
Mainly because I had nothing else to do.
But also because I can’t get you off of my mind.
So I’m writing this poem to help me unwind.
Why did I choose a poem to write out for you?
I believe it’s the best way to express my love to you.
Now here I am, typing away,
And I still have so much more to say.
No more words on paper left to find,
Now I’m typing off the top of my mind.
I’m best at poems; I could write one every day.
Then if you feel like it, you could read what I have to say.
While you’re reading this, I’m probably blushing
Even though this love is more than just crushing.
These words of my love I’ve written in a less than a day.
I need to get these words of my mind out of the way.
I’d love to type out more words for you now,
But I’ll save them for later, I’ll summarize now:
