To say the least, I am both angry and dissapointed... I did not get chosen to go to Florida's Boy's State. One week in Tallahassee, learning about government and politics isn't going to be happening, it would appear. Apparently, the unspoken requisites would include being in JROTC and/or being someone who can say everything in the world, yet never able to make the first step towards it. Some amazaing students attempted to get into the program, and yet so few were chosen... Only one kid that I knew probably deserved to be in it that did indeed get in. JROTC, Honor Roll, Scouts (working on Eagle Project), and all that, but one other did not. Alright student, but an excellent orator. He can talk and get himself to where he wants. Last year, he managed to make it to Regional President of HOSA, but he never did anything. Not a single action was made on his part.
But, yeah... I'm a bit frustrated right now. I wanted to get in and now the only way to get in is if that can't find enough people to fill the seats...
