-Basic Outline for new story concept, along with a list of characters and their roles.
Characters = Jack: A sad young boy who befriends D.D. and enters the magical hat. During his stay in the hat he meets Mis, Blossom, and the Fish twins. (Finry and Snapper) Jack is eyed by Prince Peck, who sees the newcomer as the gateway to magical creatures’ cure for their lack of dreams. Prince Peck’s servant, who disobeys his master and tries to warn Jack of his sinister ploy, confronts him in the woods.
Jack is kidnapped by Prince Peck and fights him.
+ Dodley-Dod Princeton-the-1/2: Dodley-Dod’s family has always kept watch over the magical world that exists in the hat. Dodley-Dod inherited the hat from his father and has explored it’s mystical depths multiple times. When his new friend Jack comes into the shop sad one day, Dodley-Dod reveals his secret of the magical hat to Jack in order to lighten his spirits. Noticing he is doubtful, Dodley-Dod then convinces Jack to see what happens when he puts his arm through the hat..(he falls in XD) After Jack enters the magical world, Dodley-Dod follows but lands too late and is kept from Jack by a giant crow, who happens to be Prince Pecks pet. (or a flock of crows) Dodley-Dod tricks the crow into revealing his owner’s plans to harness a mortal’s dreams and knows Jack is in danger.
+ Mis: A devious cat-girl who greets Jack as he enters the magical world. Taking him on a tour the young cat and Jack find themselves in field of odd plants of all sizes and shapes, this is where they meet Mis’s friend Blossom the pixie. Mis takes her friend along with them as they come across a lake where two fish children are playing. The fish children (Snapper and Finry) follow the explorers for fear of the dark shadow looming over their lake. Mis notices a flock of dark birds and has the group hide in a thicket. Later when Jack is taken away by the evil prince, Mis joins the pixie team Blossom calls in to help and leads them with their assault.
+ Sweet-dandy-pandy buds: The group hides in the thicket and soon finds themselves in the presence of these flowers. They have gorgeous voices and sing to any possible audience. Mis knows that the buds are not to be awoken or their song will keep them from leaving. Blossom however, makes a loud noise thus awakening the singing flowers.
The others cover their ears and hide, yet Jack is left transfixed and goes closer to the flowers, where unknown to our hero, awaits Prince Peck, who then kidnaps young Jack.
+Prince Peck: The son of the King of Darkness, and well known and feared magician, who delights in bringing shadows to the bright world of magic. Prince Peck harbors an ambition to bring dreams to the magical creatures. Only those who obey him shall receive the power he seeks. Learning that only normal folk from outside their world have dreams, Prince Peck awaits a human to enter their mists. (other than D.D.) When Jack appears, his father the King alerts his son to the opportunity and off he sets to take Jack and his dreams. When Jack is distracted by the S.D.P. Buds he captures him and goes off towards the dark castle.
+Fish twins: Snapper and Finry meet with Mis, Blossom, and Jack and decide to join them for they fear the dark shadows looming closer to their lake. The fish twins know secrets about the dark king and his family, due to the large moat surrounding the castle. They know that the Prince has been seeking a human in order to steal their dreams. Thus, the group comes the conclusion that Jack will soon be targeted. The fish children go ahead and cause the moat to overflow. *possibility.
+ Blossom: A bright, happy, pixie who is friends with Mis. Blossom wants to go on an adventure and tags along with Jack and Mis. She plays around with Jack and is the first one to talk about the scary darkness coming closer to their woods. She sees the lake and ZOOMS off to greet the fish twins. Later when Jack is kidnapped, Blossom calls her pixie/fairy friends and have them attack the carriage that has Jack locked inside.
