DragonMasters: Part Two
AuRel stood atop the hill that faced the sorceress's house, his eyes burning with antisipation. He was going to obtain the Book of the Ages, even if it meant revealing his Ligh Dragon to her. His hand was on Wistala's snout, tencing a bit when he saw her leave the house to fetch herbs. Her silver hair shined in the bright sunlight, her green eyes reflecting the dew on the grass. A small, innoccent hatchling trotted after her, chasing after a butterfly. It squeeked a bit as it hit her leg. She was looking at something in the tree line. Suddenly, she made eye contact with him.
"AuRel, son of AuFex," she called, eyeing the Light Dragon at his side. "A Light DragonMaster... I never would've guessed." She lifted the small green Shadow Dragon into her arms, tickling it. "You've put my hatchling in danger by bringing her." Her Elven was a bit accented with Drakine, but understandable. She hadn't the need to speak Elvish mush, so she needed a bit of practice.
In pure Elvish, the Dragon spoke. "We've come not for the youngling. The Book," Lynx looked up at the Dragon, smiling. She complimented on the beautiful Light Dragon's speak, but requested to speak in Drakine. "Of course," her Drakine sounded.
Auron, who didn't want to leave the house before, leap from the open door infront of his mistress, barring his fangs and the dragonelle. "Leave us. You endanger our peace." Auron growled in husky Drakine. Lynx's hand rested itself on his crest, the other hand holding the hatchling. He looked up at her, and she, with no words, told him to calm. He stood next to her now, causiously glaring at the other two.
"The book you say. You claim to want it, but...," she looked at AuRel, locking eyes with him. "I see something else in his eyes. You wish... for an allience." He couldn't help but smile. She got it right on the money. He gave a small chuckle and looked to his Dragon.
He looked back at Lynx. Auron was infuriated, his crest rufled and his chest plates rattling. He stepped over to them, Wistala following after him. He walked right up to Lynx, looked down at her. "How old are you?" He asked, leaning back a little to get a better look at her. She told him that she was 14. "And to your age, such a reputation."
"How old are you?" She asked back, folding her arms on her chest. He told her that he was 18. "To be asking my help...," she looked away from him to some far away place in the forest, not exactly knowing where. He extended his hand to her, expecting her to shake it so that an allience between a Shadow DragonMaster and a Light DragonMaster could be extablished. But, she shook her head and stepped back. "I'm sorry," she appologized, picking up the hatchling. "I cannot put him in danger. I am his mother, and must protect him until he doesn't need me anymore." She looked down at the gurgling youngling in her arms and tickled him under his chin.
AuRel nodded, understanding her moternal instincts, even if they were to the wrong creature. "We shall protect him with you, if you'd like." Wistala announced, looking at the hatchling. "I lost my clutch, and would help you protect him until we reach our country. What is his name?"
"He doesn't have one." Auron stated, lookeding at the Light Dragon. "Mistress Lynx found him as a hatchling without a mother or clutch. Fresh out of the egg. He still had the egghorn. He's about the age when he shall speak. He shall tell us his name in time." Wistala nodded, her saphire eyes drawn to the hatchling. "Mistress... maybe we should go with them," Auron suggested, looked at his lady with stern, ruby eyes. "The villagers are suspecting you of Dark Magic. It's best we go."
"You're right," she agreed to go, looking at AuRel with soft eyes. "I'll get the Book of the Ages." And thus began the journy.
