KURAI'S P.O.V.
I leaned over across the bed to get into Amaya-senpai's face, the bright crimson streak in my hair covering my right eye.
"Ane-san, what'cha readin'?" I asked, getting her signature glare in return.
"None ya," she responded, turning her back to me as she kept reading. Damn it was boring here!
"Take me out, ane-san," I whined, nuzzling her neck. "Please? I'll leave you alone for the rest of the week if you take me out somewhere." I was begging to her now, getting from her a hopeless sigh. Oh yeah, it was working.
"Where do you want to go?" She asked, cringing when I squeeled and jumped up to change.
"Take me shopping!"
*-*
I was dressed in a loose pruple shirt that had a picture of an adorable, albeit poorly drawn dinosaur and said "Save the Dinosaurz!" I wore baggy, ripped jeans and my sandals, giggling as I took ane-san's arm and pulled her out the door. She wore a black jacket and dark skinny jeans. Looser.
We ran out of the house, taking to the nearest flee market. Those were the only accual places I shopped, save for Hot Topic. I loved jewelry- still do- so I took Amaya to the nearest stand with it. I made her buy me a beautiful aqua marine ring, jasper-quartz necklace, 7 silver and copper braclets, and one pair of intrecet gages.
There was another kiosque that sold odd little antiques. We bought an old porcelin doll that had red ribbons in her hair, a cute teddy bear, and an old hand mirror. Amaya really seemed to be enjoying herself.
Finally, it was time for us to go. I held Amaya's hand as we walked, beaming in my new kimono I'd bought from the last stand. I also had gotten an old Western dress and a Native American trible gown from there, too. I was happy.
When we got back home, stupid Sasuke was there, waiting for us. I ignored him, or, at least, pretended to, as I let go of Amaya's hand and walked around the corner. I stayed there to eavesdrop on them.
"Where did you two go?" It was Sasuke's monotone, detestful voice that spoke.
"I took her to a flee market," Amaya replied, in a bit of a defensive way. I was reading their emotions as they spoke. Thank you, empathy (don't ask)!
"She's a monster," Sasuke spat, "she'll just use you until she's done."
"What do you know? Yeah, so what if she's annoying? She kinda' grows on you... if you make the effort to be with her."
"Why would I? She's 'disowned' me from her life, she doesn't want me to be around her."
"Well, then, that makes two of us."
Were these Amaya's true emotions I was feeling now? She'd always held it so well... now, I could see her searing hate for him, her utter... caring for me. Well, this was an expirience!
I soon heard her footsteps coming my way, so I ducked out, running out to my room. I wasn't caught. Good.
Sasuke didn't have emotions. I felt nothing in him but hate, malice... but a hidden sorrow that he couldn't possibly hide from a true empath. He didn't really want to treat us like this. He was trying to delude himself... and he was succedding.
