I've always been interested in writing. I never have thought about beening an author till recently. My true passion is to be a vet. But this journel isn't going to be about my life. It's going to be just a bunch of thoughts on a book I'm writing.
It takes place in Lurista. A war has torn the country. The Empire fights to keep its not so kind leadership hold on the kingdom while the Rebellion fights to rid their evil. Then there is the ones who are too scared to pick a side. Or just because they don't like either cause. The war started before most of the people who fight in it today. The cause for the war is thought to be the evil ways of the Empire, but a lost civilization, called Durmural, may know the true answer.
My first character is Meilin Nokomis. If you can tell by the username, my favorite character. She is an outcast and loving it, so it seems. In the story she is on a quest with Kari Evangeline(see later). The quest is to look for her brother, Kai, who is her only living family. The thing is that they haven't seen eachother for 10 years (she's 14). Kari doesn't think he's alive, but Meilin beleives he is. Though she doesn't know for sure. She comes off cold hearted and always looks with nonseeing eyes. As a sword/mage, she has powers most people of the time can imagine, but she can't use them.....
The next character is Kari Evangeline (see above). Kari is Meilin's high-powered mage companion who knows more about her then Meilin likes. How she became a high-level mage comes from the video games she played on earth. If you haven't guessed it, she's not from around Lurista. She was brought to Lurista by a star. "Stars are windows to other worlds." Or so the old Dumuralian saying goes. She is always a scatterbrain and forgets the smallest thing. A task of carring a bucket of water could be forgotten just as you turn around to do your own chore. Kari smiles easily and is indeed a true friend, though Meilin claims she doesn't need one. You might think someone like Meilin would try to ditch a kid like Kari (also 14), but she enjoys her company enough to let her travel with her.
The last character (for now) is Autumn Sharahzard. She is a girl seemed proned to needing protection. She isn't a mage or a swordsman, like what the Rebellion needs. Autumn is a clutsy worrier with two magic fans for defense. She starts off the story on a different quest, to save one who protected her and was caught by the Empire. When she was working for the Rebellion, she was told to carry a very powerful magic item to safety. Unfortunetly, luck wasn't on her side for the Empire had sent a transport spell in that area to hunt down any powerful magic thing and bring it to them (hence "transpot" wink . She just so happened to be holding the most powerful magic thing. The spell came out of nowhere and shot toward her. Luke, her "protecter", saw it come toward the stunned Autumn and pushed her out of the way, only to be caught in the spell and captured. Now Autumn has run from the Rebellion to save her rescuer. The Rebellion doesn't want to endanger themselves for one person.
The three meet when Autumn is attack (and needs rescueing xp ). That is where the story unfolds.....
I'm going to make it into a comic one day!
