Ok, so I'll admit: I'm a bit mixed on this event. Plot-wise, it wasn't that great. Event-wise, it rocked harder than the Mayflower in a hurricane.
What, exactly, was the point of the comic? Ok, so Gambino gets his mansion rebuilt, the girls finally realize Liam's a player (ftw, mate?! Are they that dense?!), some Gaians defy gravity, some girls are revealed to be unnaturally strong, and - oh, my favorite part - Gambino's mansion gets the roof knocked off - and he isn't mad. Yes, gotta love that one.
I'm also a bit disappointed that Ron Bruise never showed up. He was hyped up for how long? Someone said that it was mainly the GCD hyping him up, but I disagree (to a point). Ron Bruise was in the NPC Spotlight for a while, and we all know that the last guy in the NPC spotlight had been in the middle of the biggest love triangle since who knows when, was shot, challenged to a duel right after being discharged, and in the middle of the Atomic Gino-Bomb. Ron Bruise has to mean something to get that slot.
So the plot update was severely disappointing. 'Nough said.
But I did like the event!

I loved the items. The Trick-or-Treating items were much better than last year, though I must say: am I the only one who thinks the mask looks like an orange Spiderman? Anyway, I loved the forum items. Especially the cowbell, but I heard that one was the most popular anyway, so that's prob'ly not surprising.
I do have to give the Admins their props for this one, though; probing/tipping/zapping in the forums was a great idea.
And another thing on the Admins: I found quite a few threads that were basically the equivalent of "Great f*ckup, Admins - better luck never." Can we please cut them a bit of a break?
I find it amazing how these people - some younger than I am, and I'm only 16½ - think they could run the event better than people who have spent most of their lives doing this kind of thing. I know nothing about programming - I'll admit that now. And I know I'm not the only one, and I guess it just bugged me to see so many people jump at the Admins when we all know they're doing their best. I'm still standing by the opinion that we should just be glad they do what they can and enjoy the site while we can; if the minor technicalities irk you that much, you don't have to stay. (Now, keep in mind: I don't mean "GTFO OF GAIA!" - I just mean that if all they can do is complain and not be happy with the site, it's prob'ly best for them - and their stress levels - to leave.)

The last thing I'm going to discuss: NPC costumes. I was also a bit miffed at the plot update that way; where were the costumes? I felt bad for Gino - I think Gambino spent all the Red Bino profits on rebuilding the mansion; the mean guy couldn't even give his son ten bucks to blow on a costume. -shakes head sadly-
Out of the store costumes, though, my favorite was a tie between Rufus, Peyo, and Moira. Rufus and Peyo were just too cute, and Moira made me giggle. Logan scared me a bit, and Rina...well, Rina was too typical. Agatha was terrifying with her wrinkle-boobies (GAH! I never realized they were that bad before! gonk ), and Vanessa amused me with her outfit. And Edmund...Edmund was just funny. ^^ Sasha was a bit amusing, and Liam...well, nothing too impressive. Ruby = heart . She was very entertaining.
All in all, good event, but bad plot update. I just felt cheated with the update.
But still: 'twas much better than last year!
