Wow, my friend and I just had this brilliant idea. We both like and want to travel, and our plan was that when we graduated from high school (which is in two years) we'd fly to Europe and travel by train to see all of it. Sadly, we've realized that that will be far to expensive for two brand new high school graduates who also intend to go to university; again more cash to be spent.
So we've come up with an alternative; travel in our own country. Since neither of us have seen it all, even though we've lived in Canada all our lives, we're going to take a road trip. Yes that's right we're going to DRIVE to Ontario and visit five different cities there. On the way to Ontario we're going to be amking a stop in Québec, since we both really want to go back and see it again. When we get to Ontario, we'll be going to North bay, Ottawa, London, Kitchener and Toronto. We haven't figured out in what order yet, as we're still in the midst of planning this all out. Our Theory is that it'll probably take us two years to save up the money for gas and hotels, and by then we'll have our license's and will be able to leave Nova Scotia, since we have to have a full license for two years in order to take this road trip. We'll also be able to drive after midnight, so it works out legally too.
Of course, this is only one province that we're going too, there's still nine more and three territories that we have to go to. We have no clue when we'll see everything, but we have plenty of time to do it all, lol. I can tell you, this is going to be a hell of a trip to plan and tom take when it's all said and done, and it's a hell of a lot more attainable than flying to Europe and traveling it by train. The countdown now begins, two years until we get away!
