This is for those who for some reason or another still don't know when winter has arrived (well if you don't live here you wouldn't know, so you are forgiven) but if you do, SHAME ON YOU!!!
These are the ways in which you'll know it's winter in good old Nova Scotia...
1. If you open the door and there's a cave in, Winter has just arrived. 2. If Summer never started and spring took a vacation, then winter killed Autumn and has come to kill the rest of us. 3. If you you hear on the radio that the Winter Olympics have started, that means that you'd better stay off the road. 4. The mini van in front of you just did a triple salchow and went into a camel spin and won the gold medal. 5. Figure skating is not done by people on a rink, it's done by cars on the road. 6. If you see more then 1 kid with their tongue stuck to a metal post, winter has come. 7. If you're dog runs out the door and three hours later you still can't find him/her then Winter is definitely here. 8. Timmy's looks like it'll explode? Well then Jack Frost has arrived at last 9. Timmy's has run out of coffee... again 10. The man with the shovels is rich and driving around in a limo. 11. His limo just won the silver medal in figure skating. 12. The car in front of you is now facing you and the driver is waving wildly. You then realize you're the one going the wrong way. 13. The moose don't have to worry about keeping you in line when on the roads. 14. We don't drive anywhere, we SLIDE everywhere. 15. The best way to get around is with snow shoes. 16. Your child just fell in a sink hole! Oh wait, no that's just a really big snow drift. 17. You can do the breast stroke in the snow. 18. If you can skate on your drive way, then winter has come. 19. If you car is now a carsicle Winter has a sweet tooth. 20. If you can't feel your hands, nose, eyes, ears, arms, legs and can't see your feet then you've been buried alive. 21. If you see the crazy locals running around in their underwear jumping into the water and coming out blue, it's winter. 22. Finally, if you have to use your Tim's coffee to defrost your lock on the car door, then Winter has finally come to Nova Scotia
