I'm not much for a particular subject right now. I'm just gonna chat a little about how my holiday went. 3nodding
It wasn't really special for me, considering we do the same thing every year. My grandmother comes over early in the morning and wakes me up with her shrilling annoying voice. (almost any of my friends that I know personally can tell you what it's like. Absolutely terrible) I got an iPod, which was probably the best gift I got this year considering I haven't put it down yet except to upload songs into it. sweatdrop Then I got a drawing tablet, that my dad still hasn't hooked up yet since I'm a dunce when it comes to hooking up computer-related things. stressed
The video games I got were Galerions: Ash, FF7, and DDR Extreme. I really wanna play FF7, but I'm so hooked on DDR Extreme to getmy favorite songs that I haven't really gotten to it. domokun I got some other stuff, since i kinda of like Care Bears (sure I think they are cute, but I'm not obsessed as apparently some people think, like my parents). I got a blanket and a big poofy blue care bear doll.....feh. I actually would have preferred the money. I'm trying to save for new DDR pads, the Zelda game coming out for GC next year, and the GBA game for January supposedly as I've been informed by the Nintendo website. 3nodding I prefer the console games over the handheld games anyday considering I'm more for 3D rather than 8-bit. sweatdrop
My parents also got me a sketchbook, which I'm making them return as a matter of fact. I don't really use sketchbooks; I prefer just plain printer paper since I can scan it easier. I still wish they would have gottten me at least 1 new DDR pad (which they said earlier they were gonna get me new ones) because the ones I have now aren't working properly and are pretty much crap now. ><; They slide, the buttons don't work as well, and they just get in the way. *sigh* Now they say I have to get them myself. I was gonna attempt to save for at least one nice one on Ebay. Those big aluminum ones I have been eyeing ever since I saw DDR for the home console. e.e''
Later in the day, we went to my grandparents house. (And, most of my friends call it the mafia considering my dad's step-mom is Italian, as well as the rest of my family. I'm kind of the only one with real sense, even though I do like a good argument once in awhile) I was just expecting money considering, well, that's what I usually get. I used to whine about not getting a real gift, but now I just want the money cause my family knows diddly squat about me. They got me friggin lip-gloss one year and I almost screamed because I can't stand the stuff! Stupid people...Anyways, I got a pencil sketch set...which...yet again, I don't need. I use computer, and I use plain...number two pencils. I don't need all these fancy pencils that are a waste of money because I don't really have a true use for them. stressed I also got a Michael's Giftcard...yet again...we just found out how much was on it, my mom gave me the money, and she took the card. I hate Michael's, they rip people off, and they have nothing I like!
I got a Books-A-Million $25 gift card, which was really good. My 23 year old cousin probably gets me the stuff I like since I talk to her a lot. We are probably more of sisters than cousins. 3nodding My aunt is somewhat the same way. My uncle on the other hand...I just really dislike him to put it simple. I got a snowman making kit...which yet again, is useless. It barely snows here, and there is no point in making a dirt -snowman.
Well, to put short, some of it was good...some of it was useless/pointless. sweatdrop
