Jack and Gargoyle raced as fast as their kegs could carry them, to where they were headed, Jack had no idea...but following his friend, he could start to see fimilar shapes in the oncoming darkness as the light from day was nearing its end.

" ..Here. This is it!" Gargoyle said turning his head to face his friend, his own face covered by a hood just like Jack's. His eyes were like small pools of glowing light, surrounded by a dark grey skin that resembled the surface of rock.

Nodding his head in response, Jack put on the brakes and stopped next to his friend, silence filled the air. It was if nothing was wrong, all was quiet like it always was before nighttime settling in. But, something felt...wrong.....a shimmer of light sparkeled in the forcoming darkness..Jack recognized it in an instant.
"NIBBS! " He shouted gritting his teeth..whatever was wrong it had to do with his friend Nibbs, and however was responsable for the problem was going to have to deal with a very upset skeleton boy.

"PLEASE! NO!" Fluttering her shimmering wings as fast as she could muster, the small frail little girl (who looks like a fairy) looked ahead of her, a horrible fate looming ever closer.

"Enough. This grows tiresome. You young soul, you are ready to pass on to the great place of eternal rest. This run-around is very foolish indeed..right Tak?"

"Indeed ..Chrono. " Tak's empty eyes narrowed as a smile crept along his pale white face. " It is time for you to go..."

"And..I have that key to your doorway out." Chrono added, his face as expressionful as a stone.

"Please..I - I don't want to pass on! I like this place..its my ..."Fummbling about, the young soul clasped onto a tree trunk, her eyes shut in fear..how much she wanted to continue speaking, to pour out her thoughts and heart..but..her mouth felt like it was filled with cotton. " My....."

" ITS HER HOME!" Looking up in suprise, Nibbs saw standing next to her was Jack, and beside him stood a grim faced Gargoyle; his yellow pools of light held in slits.
"She doesn't want to cross over because this place is her home! So why don't you two go away and pick out diffrent 'dresses' to wear..its a special occassion tonight you know? " Grinning, Jack laughed aloud, his insides bubbling with anticipation.

"Fool, thes are ROBES. Not dresses. " Chrono replied, his expressionless face showing sighs of frustration. I guess you can't ALWAYS be so damn level headed.

The two opposing sides watched each other intently for a time being; Jack began to fidget in the silece, he didn't know what to expect from these guys..so far he didn't really think they meant to give everyone cookies and leave with a 'toodle-ooo'
"A special occassion is what you spoke of young soul. We are aware that tonight marks the 'Two Moons Crossing.' We see now that if we keep this up, we will be late to the ceremony. So, in light of this situation..we bid you all 'goodnight, and have fun at the ceremony' . " Not even looking back once, the two strange men turned around and walked forward, their cloaks wisping around their pale white ankles as the ventured off.

" PHEWWWwww, was THAT EVER CLOSE! " Wiping his brow of sweat, Jack turned around and smiled at Nibbs. " You had us worried! Good to see you're ok Nibbs!"

" T-Thank you, thank you both so much..." Nodding her head, Nibbs smiled back at Jack and fidgeted with her hands. " We should go or we'll miss the ceremony. "

"HOLY SPIT! YOU'RE RIGHT!! WE GOTTA GO NOW! " Grabbing ahold of both his friends, Jack ran off at top speed..he never missed a Signing of The Dead Book Ceremony, and he certainly wasn't going to start now.

Grim stood in silence, he watched as a throng of young and old souls flocked to the central square..some talked among the others, while the rest stood quietly awaiting instructions.
"..Hmm...It is time!" Raising his skeletal arms in the air, his sythe appeared in his hand and with a booming voice that echoed over the land of souls, he shouted:
" NOW BEGINS THE CROSSING OF THE TWO MOONS! LET THE SIGNING BEGIN!"

"Whoa..." Yusuke muttered as he watched Grim, the people around his cheered and observed the new souls step forward one by one to get their names recorded..along with the supressed memories of their life and knowledge of their demise..which they knew nothing of.

" This is weird...I can't believe this." Kuwabara said, agreeing all the way with Yusuke. " I mean, its like an occult movie of something..." Gulping, he looked away momentarily and twitched slightly.
"What a fool." Hiei muttered to himself, he looked around for any signs of the strange girl he had seen..the girl he somehow had known her name. But, he couldn't find her...there were just too many souls blocking his view.
