What brought you here? My mother and father told me that they found me when I was a baby…In a small wooden bucket rocking in the waves. Swaddled in jade silk, with fine black hair and brown eyes. I was a cast-away, they guessed, a lucky child from further east. They had found me by the moonlight on October 21st. Thus, they named me Qiyue.
I was a normal boy, herding sheep with my father in rural china. However, when I turned sixteen, strange things began to occur. Several times I would sleepwalk, outside and stand beneath the moonlight. Normally this wouldn’t be regarded as odd, since it was during Zhongqiu. However, when I did, my hair would turn white, and my skin would glow. At times, I would levitate off of my bed.
The first full moon after my birthday, I did not sleepwalk. Instead I walked outside, and stared at the sky, trying to understand. Like all the times before, my skin began to glow and my hair turned white. Yet, unlike before, this time I felt a strange sensation, like a warm mist wrapped me. I blacked out.
When I came to, it was early morning, and I was laying face-down in the dirt in front of my house. A few days passed, and I remembered what happened after I blacked out.
I had gone to the Moon…to Tsuki-no-Miyako…and met the Lunar Tribe; the Moon Rabbits. They had tracked me down during the full moon, told me what I was, and asked me if I wished to stay with them. I said no, so they sent me back, saying that they would keep in contact. Every full moon, a Lunar Rabbit speaks with me. They call me a Jade Rabbit, after the Chinese myth about the ancient princess Chang’e, and to distinguish me from moon-dwelling rabbits.
That’s when Aether found me. I was recruited, and now I’m here. I think they had trouble placing me in a house, until they saw me levitate.

What do you like?
+Fluffy animals…I had sheep at home, and I’ll admit, I have a weakness for all creatures fluffy and soft. Similarly, I love soft, snuggly blankets.
+Potions and Alchemy…Don’t call me a nerd! I was really good at making remedies for myself and my parents when any of us fell ill. I don’t know why, but the subject fascinates me!
+Moon Cakes…Especially jelly with peanut filling! YUM!
+Astrology…I guess it comes with the heritage but, I love watching the stars. It is calming…Never mind the fact that under the moon’s rays I glow like a freaking night-light.
+Cooking…I like cooking all sorts of food, and learning new cuisines. If I ever make something, I try to cook enough portions for anyone who wants to try. I guess since I’ll be living in the Pavan dorms, the smell of food will waft through the common room occasionally. I just hope it smells good.

Not so much...
+Getting homesick…Not what you’re thinking. True, sometimes I miss my mom and dad but…Other times I miss THAT place. You know, the moon? It is….strange, because I’ve only been there once. Yet I feel a sense of longing whenever I see it, or think of it. Sometimes, when I sleep, I dream of Tsuki-no-Miyako, and I wake up with tears in my eyes.
+Sleep levitating…Sometimes I can’t control my levitation, so I end up floating right off of my bed! And…occasionally off of my chair. It takes me a few minutes to get myself back on the ground.
+Bugs…I’m not afraid of them, I just don’t like them. They get into all the crannies and cracks and are really annoying. I never kill them though. I just put them outside.
+Violence…I can fight. I can defend myself, and sometimes it is fun to play with others, I used to wrestle with kids near my home and play swordfight, but I…don’t enjoy it when people get hurt.
+Greediness...I get a bit uncomfortable around excessive eaters, shoppers, or any of that.
+Umm...Please don't tell but...beautiful women. No no! It's not that I don't like them. It's just...pretty girls and women make me very flustered and I eh-...I can't speak, my tongue gets tied, and I run. Sh-shut up!


Powers:
+Levitation...Right now, I can levitate...but not very well. It happens suddenly, and frequently without my control. When I gain control of it, they say I'll be able to 'fly.'
+Going Rabbit...I can turn into a rabbit, whose color changes with the lunar phases. Plus I can see perfectly in the dark.
+Glow...It's not really...a power but...In moonlight, I glow. And I can't make it stop.
I don't really have control over most of these abilities, and I don't even have access to the most important ones yet...
-Encyclopedic knowledge of healing balms, restorative mixtures, and the elixer of life. Somewhere in my noggin is all I need to know to maintain the royal Lunar family. I just...don't know any of it...
-Moonsteel...Aka the ability of high-ranking Moon-Knights. They use the moon's glow to fashion armor and weapons.
-Eclipse...They say only one rabbit can do this...That all are capable but...Causing an eclipse. It won't happen...Ever. I'm sure of that.
