I don't see why so many people try to make their kids believe that the word is a nice, happy place full of good people. They hide all the bad stuff. They think it protects their kids if they don't know about it. But in reality, it does bad in the long run. It could a.) leave the kid trusting everyone, which could result in the kid getting scammed, murdered, raped, kidnapped, or similar. And/or it could b.) Set the kid up for a rude awakening one day. Kids should be taught about the harsh realities of life rather than be shielded from it. Knowing about what really happens in the world creates a stronger individual, and we need stronger individuals to inherit this world.
