Yet another day
in the life of
the amazing Mr. Brookes
Aiden sat on the couch in his living room, spoon clenched between his teeth, his eyes staring intently at the television before him. The teenager had woken up early that morning and had been watching some documentary on the History Channel for the past few hours. There really wasn't much else on at the moment except for Desperate Housewives reruns. Taking the spoon from his mouth, he placed it back in the empty bowl laying on his lap. He had decided as soon a he came downstairs to have Lucky Charms, his favorite cereal ever, for breakfast. The commercials really did state the truth, they were magically delicious. Well, at least he always thought they were.
'I should start getting ready soon.' It was already eleven and he had made plans to meet up at the park with Horizon at eleven forty-five. The park wasn't far from his house, but Aiden had always been the type to arrive a few minutes early, you know, just in case. Running a hand through his hair, he stood up with a small yawn. He made his way back to his room upstairs after turning the t.v. off and washing his dishes. Once in his room he changed out of his pajama pants and over sized t-shirt and into a random pair of jeans and a shirt he pulled out of his closet. The male had taken a shower earlier, so no worries there. He slipped on his hoodie and Converse then went back down to the kitchen to get a pen and a piece of paper.

Aiden left the short note on the counter for his parents before leaving the house. Just as he thought, it didn't take him long to get to the park. It also didn't take long for eleven forty-five to come and go. 'Where could he be?' The place was empty and the raven haired boy was starting to get worried. He quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket when it rang, and read the message displayed on the screen. A sigh of relief came from him, he was so happy that nothing was wrong. He didn't hesitate with his reply back.

A smile graced his face as he slid the phone closed and shoved it back into his jeans' pocket. Horizon would be here soon and that's kind of all that mattered at the moment now. Aiden was surprised when he suddenly felt hands covering his eyes, but quickly relaxed when he heard the familiar voice. "I'm not quite sure. It could be that lovely Horizon I know." He answered in a playful tone after a small chuckle. Lowering the other male's hands off his eyes, he turned to face his boyfriend. "So, how have you been? Get a good night's sleep?" Was his greeting to Horizon.
