I volunteer at the animal shelter every Saturday. Yesterday at the shelter, Hollie (our group leader whom, my group secretly decided, is a fun-vamp who sucks the fun out of every situation just by looking at you xp) assigned me and another girl to rake leaves.
I started raking, and there was a tree that was being held up by a wire that was attatched to a large orange plastic nail in the ground. I accidentally hit the wire with the rake, and the nail came out of the ground and the small tree started tipping over.
I’m like “CRAP!” and the girl and I started trying to stick the nail back into the ground. But it wouldn’t go back in, and the girl is like “we’re going to need a HAMMER if we want to get this thing back in!”
And I’m like, “I KNOW WHERE A HAMMER IS! STAY THERE!” I ran off and I found a pickaxe. I’m like, “HAHA!” and so I went back to the tree.
Just to look dramatic and epic, I lifted the pickaxe over my head. However, the head/metal part of the pickaxe wasn’t attached properly, so it slid down the handle and sliced my fingers.
Today it is stiff and it hurts sooo bad, but I am optimistic about this event—------...how many people in this world can say that they were injured by a pickaxe??
Leave it to me to find a way to make any situation hazardous. ^_^ XD

We’re talking about when we met and you say it was easier to fall for me thinking (I'll remember this pause) it was likely I’d be dead by now.
