I stare up at the clear blue sky and wonder. Fresh green grass feels good on my sweaty palms and a cool summer breeze makes the grass whisper in my ears. Misery and sorrow grasps my heart and an enormous lump grows in my throat. Cleanching the grass with my fists, I shut my eyes tight but the warm salty tears push through anyway. I start to shake my head violently as if trying to shake something off of it. Sitting up I hug myself and rock back and forth, letting my tears soak my cheeks. Looking around I suddenly realize I'm all alone. I gaze at the vast range of green hills and the clear blue sky, I hug myself tighter. Letting go I fall on my back again, with my eyes piercing that oh so blue sky and wonder, why?
