"Why is there any reason that he should even be invited at all, Akira. Seriously, that boy is an utter failure when it comes to social skills. He wears too dark of clothing, and he wears make up! Is that normal for a boy to do now?" the woman sitting on the side of a large in ground pool said. "Why not Jeremy, that nice boy on the football team. You know he fancies you."
The young woman standing behind her gave an annoyed look at the back of the woman's head. "Because Margaret, he is my friend, and I want him to come. I wish you'd give him a chance! He super nice." Akira said in her friends defense. It was true. Akira's friend Ian was a great friend. He didn't have many friends, and that's only because he was very shy around large crowds.
Akira was in the middle of planning her graduation party. Her eighteenth birthday fell just one week after, and she was trying to plan a dual party. By day, she would talk to Ian during their shared classes, and come up with adult like themes, with a bit of new age thrown into it.
Akira's mother frowned, and turned around to face her daughter. "He must be a little queer boy then." When her daughter's jaw dropped Margaret said in a rush, "Baby girl there's nothing wrong with being gay, I just won't have anything to do with a homosexual in my house. You can forget it young lady. Your friend is not invited." Akira attempted to protest, but to no prevail. She would just have to have alone time with Ian somewhere else. There was no way that she would have fun with out him.
"God Margaret you're such a b***h!" Akira slammed the door to the backyard, and ran up to her room only to hear her cell phone ringing as soon as she got up the stairs. "...Cause the sex is so much better when you're mad at me..." It was Ian calling. She picked up her phone, and smiled. Answering, she said, "Hey sugar. You lookin for a good time tonight?" She couldn't help but laugh.
Ian sat in the bathroom on the other end laughing. "Yes I was wondering if I could have you come over for an over night call. The money is no problem, and I will be there to pick you up at eight pm." He said in his most seductive voice he could given his shyness. At once, they both busted out laughing. This is how it was every time they called each other.
Their friendship alone was a strange one. Akira was a cheerleader for Grey Star Academy. Given a vote between the students who the most popular girl in school was, guaranteed it would be Akira. Ian, however, was a troubled teen with manic depression. Every night when Akira wasn't around he secretly wished upon stars, and slit his wrists to the music of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata". Akira and Ian had been best friends since second grade elementary school, when the school fifth graders took Ian's crayons. Akira stood up for Ian. She was the only one who had. After that day they'd become inseparable.
"Ian, why can't you come get me now! What's the surprise that you can't come and pick me up early?" Akira asked through the receiver. Ian had been working for weeks on a birthday gift for his best friend, and had never given hints as to what it might be. He knew that he would drive Akira crazy.
"You know that I can't tell you, baby, but while you wait just think of me in that string bikini you've always wanted to buy me." Ian growled sexually into the phone.
"Oh Ian you are hopeless. You know I always picture you naked at night while I"m using your vibrator in the bath tub."
"Oh now that's just gross. You know that I didn't wash that thing the last time I used it on your cousin, right?"
"Well I like a little bit of...I"m going to stop that thought."
"You like what, Akira. Huh? Tell me?" He said in his most seductive voice. Even Akira was unable to resist. "Well I like a little bit of you inside me when I ******** myself every night. I just wish that you and I could really find it in ourselves to ********, and have no strings attached." She said in a voice that suggested real longing.
She half wished they could have a relationship just to piss her mother off. The other half of her knew that it would be too good to be true. Ian was her best friend in the world. They had too close of a bond already.
"Well don't worry my sexy mama. I"ll be there soon to pick you up for dinner at KFC in twenty minutes. No later, but maybe sooner. I missed you all day so I can't wait to see you, Akira."
"I missed you too Ian. I can't wait to see your little emo a** when you get here." She said blowing kisses into the phone. "See you in twenty."
"See you in twenty you preppy b***h." They both smiled on their sides of the line. Click. They also hung up at the same time. It was like they'd sat around and practiced it for hours until they had the routine down pack.
