Forbidden Moon
I felt the pain in my lungs every time i took a breath.
It was always hard to hold on,
But i still held.
i felt the sting as a tickling liquid ran down my neck.
I was faint as his lips crept up to my ear,
Then down my jaw and up to my lips.
His kiss was not warm.
It had a cold edge to it;
Like everything else about him.
My body trembled in the cold
As his lips moved around mine.
And i tasted the steel, sweet taste of blood.
And I found no warmth in his strong arms.
For he was a vampire...
And they had no warmth.
I was molded to his stone figure,
Not willing to let go.
I wanted to hear his velvet voice.
But he never spoke even when i asked him to.
His left eye was covered by his soft midnight hair.
I stroked his hair and closed my eyes
As he rested his head on my shoulder.
He smelled like spring and flowers...
Though he was always the one who was winter in descise.
My eyes opened when he lifted up his head,
And stared up in the sky and finally spoke...
"This love is forbidden... it was not suppose to be."
His dark eyes had a bloodstone glow
From the full silver moon above us
He looked down at me and i stared back with blurry eyes.
"Don't go..." i rasped in whisper.
He smiled weakly and lowered his head.
his lips found mine and his kiss was not easy.
I was pushed back against the stone wall as his rough kiss overcame me.
I was growing weaker,
And i felt like collapsing.
The kiss ended and I did not feel him against me.
I fell to the ground into the soft snow.
i felt a snowflake land on my cheek
And it quickly melted and ran with my salty tears down my cheek.
He's gone... he's gone...
I felt a cold breeze as i lay there,
Feeling lone and bare.
And my consciencness was slowly fading;
As so did he...
He...Who was he?
All i could remember was a soft velvet voice
That had always brought me comfort.
I never found out who he was,
Even though i was dying...
