Where are you?
There's nothing left to do.
Trying to find you.
It's starting to come into view,
As I run after you.
And the skies are so blue.
It's bleak beauty breaking though,
Telling me what to say on cue.
But never as beautiful as you.
What I say is so true.
When the morning dew,
Settles on the false rue
I knew,
This was the end of me and you.
Such a sad thing to live up to.
And i never knew,
That it was truly you.
That cause me to write of my blues.
A sadness that grew
Until it dawned on me that you,
Never even really cared......
There's nothing left to do.
Trying to find you.
It's starting to come into view,
As I run after you.
And the skies are so blue.
It's bleak beauty breaking though,
Telling me what to say on cue.
But never as beautiful as you.
What I say is so true.
When the morning dew,
Settles on the false rue
I knew,
This was the end of me and you.
Such a sad thing to live up to.
And i never knew,
That it was truly you.
That cause me to write of my blues.
A sadness that grew
Until it dawned on me that you,
Never even really cared......
Meaning: The girl said "It's coming into view" in the first stanza. Keep that in mind. Then she goes onto to say how she feels about him and how much her love is true.
"When the dew settles on the false rue I knew it was the end of me and you" And she goes on to say that them being together was a sad thing to live, or 'look' up too. In the last stanza, if you remember her saying "It's coming into view", then when she said 'it dawned on me' means that what she was 'looking for' came into view. and it was that the guy never cared. So i kinda went through a whole love story in this poem......
Definitions: false rue- slender erect perennial of eastern North America having tuberous roots and pink-tinged white flowers
