[Lightning, Ice and Tears]

This morning, i didn't wake up calmly like yesterday.. oh no. I woke up to a monstrous boom of thunder. kinda loud.. but not really I couldn't see, but i could hear, it was pouring rain outside and the lightning wouldn't get any better. I darted to the closet to put something on, and there was only one dress in there. It was a short; azure dress, adorned with jingling, light gold chains streaking down it. possibly resembling LIGHTNING? and RAIN? There was also a set of gold (with faceted sapphires) bracelets, anklets, and a necklace. I quickly slipped it all on, and went towards the mouth of the cave, where i saw none other than Nysicia arms wide getting drenched by the rain. "Hey old man! you're going to get killed! get inside!" i was screaming, but that wasn't loud enough. he turned his head back to me, and "saw" me, so he came inside. "hey, your up! splendid!" he was obviously enjoying himself "so listen, what you learned yesterday was only the basics of Wind and Water. There's a tier of magic above that. If you are willing to learn. alright, lets do it! "but there's a catch. This magic ranges from completely harmless/cantrips, to devastating and earth shattering. "I'm ready." It was a statement, i would give anything to learn what i am capable of.
"stop the rain." he said it so quickly after i told him i was ready, that It was rather confusing. "W-what?" it was also relatively unbelievable. STOP the rain?!? "Simple, cast the water symbol and stop the rain." Now, i was feelign rather annoyed. So i conjured up my symbol and tried to stop it. It worked for all of one second until i couldn't concentrate, then it kept falling. "see? its kind of hard. let me show you a trick." When he did it, he double wote the character then cast.

The rain stopped.

I stood there speechless. I could see every single rain droplet in the sky, floating there. His concentration broke then, and the rain resumed its downward fall. "here, now you try." I gathered my strength, double wrote the character, and cast. I saw the rain stop falling, and when i did, i was aware of where it all was going, how fast the wind if blowing, and the frequency of the lightning strikes.I gasped, losing my focus and dropping to my knees. the chains on my dress chimed as i fell. "yes. it is a very powerful magic isn't it? I call it Omniscience." he was blathering away, but i didn't hear him. I could see everything, and i could feel everything. I also learned a good trick or two out of it. My eyes started to tear up, and i felt a warm tear fall. how can i control this much power?its insanity. i felt a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "there there, don't cry, I'd hate to see a beautiful girl cry. Especially since we have more fun magic to learn! here, let me show you something." I looked up briefly to see him stop a good portion of rain droplets, gather them into a ball, and bring it inside. "Now the trick is, to use a cold wind, freeze it immediately, then you can shape it." I stared in awe, quickly dried my tears, and followed his example. I made a well-sized ice orb after a few tries one of which, i almost killed Nysicia with a barrage of frozen rain droplets "good, good now watch closely." he conjured up a wind knife, and quickly carved a crude star out of the ice. "Your turn, make something pretty." he smiled that goofy smile at me, and i knew exactly what to do. I gathered a decent bit more ice, and started to carve. When i was finished, i was exhausted, but happy. I had make a life-sized replica of the crazy man. "wow.. you did pretty good! it's impressive to be able to maintain such spells now. That will come in handy." Now, one more lesson.
He stepped out, evened his breathing, and quickly made the character for Lightning and i saw the light of day return for a good few seconds. i stared wide-eyed and in awe at this marvel. I shambled to the mouth of the cave. still wide-eyed at him, and all he did was grin now i KNOW he is crazy "Now, lightning is a little tricky Ildecia. You need to really concentrate." I focused my energy, and began to write the character. I saw a lightning strike coming, and i was going to stop it. As i finished, the lightning hit. I Couldn't control it, and it struck me in the chest.
Now, there was something about the clothes i wore, I could feel the lightning course through my body, i could hear voices IN the lightning i promise you I'm NOT schizophrenic. Then i felt a hand grasp mine, a voice yelling. I knew it was Nysicia... why should i answer? I had this tremendous wealth of power at my fingertips...I could beat him now, get my sword, and leave. "Come back to me Ildecia... please..." as he started to whimper, i felt a warm tear touch my hand. he was crying! At that moment i cut off the lightning, sent it away and came back to Nysicia. I looked at him with a warm half-smile on my face he cared about me.. not just some old crazy man that wants to kill me At this, i felt tears from my own eyes, i knelt down with him, and we cried together in the rain.
