WHAP!

Another punch hit my face, I stepped back and hit my dresser. I was losing the fight against the shadowman. "RAH!!!" I yelled as I tackled the shadowman out the window into the street, I got on my knee's and nailed him in the face. He hit me accross the face with a stiff jab. Ironically I was bleeding, he split my lip and broke my nose. I ran behind a car and whipped out a glock and fired into the dark human-formed shadowman. No luck. He picked the car up and threw it, then grabbed me and threw me into a building. I stuggled to get up. BOOM. Right in front of the shadowman was a grenade and it exploded and shrapnal went everywhere. The shadowman emerged from the cloud of smoke un-harmed. I ran at him and threw hundreds of fireballs at him. He flew back into a building. I ran at him and drew my katana, then slashed away at his body. The shadowman grabbed the blade and his hand was bleeding, then he round house kicked me in the ribs. I fell to the ground, out of breath.

I flew away to retreat, but he ran after me throwing his tentacles up in the air, one hit me across the face. I Fell and went through someone's window. "Ahhh!!" the people screamed, "Augh..." I was in need of medical attention, maybe after I take down this guy... The shadowman broke through the wall and I leaped at him. "Die already!" I yelled, "You're not goin to win!" He replied. I shot insanely at him and then jumped in the air, then stabbed at his neck, cutting the back of it. I landed behind him then turned around and hit the back of his head. He lay on the ground, severely injured, so I drew my katana out and stabbed him through the back, killing him. "What a sore loser." I said. I limped to the military base and finally got treated for my wounds. I walked out a few days later and saw my friend James, who was trying to pick-up a girl outside of a mall. "Oh my gosh." I said nodding my head. He got slapped across the face, I ran over. "Hey dude," I said, "Hey, Takashi, how's everything goin'?" He said rubbing his cheek. "Everything's fine, who was that?" I replied, "Just some girl, she obviously doesn't like me very much.", he said.

"So have you herd of Xambler? He's a real-life superhero." Said James. He was my bestfriend, yet, he didn't even know it was me who he was asking me about. "Well, we need to talk." I said pulling him away. When we got to my house he sat down on my couch, I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a coke out of the fridge. "So what is it that we needed to talk about Takashi?" He asked, puzzled. "Well, good thing you're sitting down. Ok so you asked if I knew about Xambler, well i'm standing in front of you right now telling you what the answer is." I began explaining, "SHIA! KA! ZIING!!!" I yelled and imediately a flash of light came from me and I was standing in front of James, in uniform. "Whoa, that's sweet, how'd you do that?!" He asked. "James, don't you understand?" I said, " I am Xambler." I finished. We both were there dead silent, he was still analyzing what I just said to him, and I was wondering, why I told him who I was.

Meanwhile...

Alex was running through a forest, he was running away from bullies, he knew he could take them as Pencil-man. Remember what Takashi said! He kept saying in his head, super powers are a gift to be used for the greater good, and not my own benefit! Good words, for someone who's noble enough to follow them. He turned around and drop kicked one in the face. He stood there, surrounded by four bigger built boys, ready to kill him, one of which was on the ground bleeding. Alex charged at one and roundhouse kicked him in the ribs, knocking the wind out of him. He jumped over another one and put him into a sleeper hold, cutting off his air ways. Another boy charged at Alex, who turned the boy in the sleeper hold so that he'd take the hit. Then one pulled out a gun from behind Alex. "No!" yelled Alex...

Boom...

Alex Layed there, bleeding, stunned, hoping.

Back to Takashi...

"Ok, so let me get this straight," James began, "you're Xambler, and you haven't told me for this whole entire time?" he asked. "Well, yeah, but now that you know just means that you'll have to be alert twenty-four seven. If you get hurt, I'll never be able to forgive myself." I said. After hours more of talking, he finally left. I walked out of my bathroom in my pajamas, into my room. I turned on the light and was about to crawl into bed when, hey, my phone rings. "Takashi man, you gotta hurry here, I just found someone on the ground, they've been shot." I herd James say through the phone. Crap. I ran over to where he was and looked on the ground. Alex...

I picked him up and ran as fast as I could to the hospital. I ran through the door and yelled, "We need a doctor fast! My friend's been shot!!". Hours later I was sleeping on a chair in the waiting room, then the doctor came out of the OR. "Good news. Your friend will live." he said, I sighed in relief. Then, the window shattered, and he flew through. Time froze as soon as he came in, all I could hear was my heart beat, and a nurse screaming.
