It was a warm day in the elven forest. The sun shone brightly through the canopy of tree branches. Aralyn's mother had tried to get her to wear a beautiful dress but failed. Aralyn had run off and was now being dragged back home by her father. "It's almost time to meet Prince Keydos." he said
"I was just going down to the stream for a while. I would have been back on time." she pouted.
Just then flutes began to play an wonderful melody.
"He's here. Be on your best behavior, Aralyn." Her father warned.
Lord D’Rathen’Thast of C’Rodention rode in on a white stallion with his son next to him. Prince Keydos and his father dismounted. The young prince presented Aralyn with a red rose. She smiled and smelled the rose before offering him her hand. He took it and gave a polite kiss. "Well Met, my fiance." he greeted her.
"Nice to meet you." she said politely.
The prince sized her up. "Well, you arent very pretty but you're supposed to be powerful so I guess that counts for something." he said as though he was judging a peince of meat.
"You have no manners, but you're rich so I suppose that counts for something." spat Ara and pulled her hand back glaring at him.
"Ara" growled her father.
"I appologise." Ara mumbled looking at the ground.
"You're spirited. I like that. I will enjoy breaking that spirit." Prince Keydos said eagerly.
"I appoligise for my son's lack of tact." said Lord D’Rathen’Thast of C’Rodention
"She already belongs to me, father. Aralyn, our wedding is already planned. You are to marry me in 2 monthes hence. I shall be staying here until then." said Prince Keydos.
