Watching the reunion between Naruto and Sasuke

Naruto says : Why didn't you...? Why didn't you kill me?! Is this your idea of cutting bonds, Sasuke?!

Now, I don't know if this is my thought process or not, but I get the underlying message that Naruto would have rather died that day. It's almost as if the pain of loosing Sasuke was worse that death.


Maybe it's just me.
