I assume that most of you know about anime and manga. In case you don't, let me tell you. Manga is the Japanese drawing style and is also the form of comicbooks they have in Japan. Anime is the animated form of manga, i.e. cartoons. This is the basic about it. Now let's move on to the real subject then.
Anime and manga are, in my opinion, a great contribute to animation. I think it's great that there is a manga for everyone. Age, sex and taste doesn't matter, manga has it all. Everyone in Japan reads manga. From kids to the elderly. Here, comics isn't just something for children.
I first get to learn about Japanese animation when I "accidently" tripped over at H-game. For you that don't know: H stand for hentai. If you don't know what hentai, then it's best you don't learn. Anyway! After that I startd looking for something in the same genre. I found the anime called Love Hina and decided to check it out. I found it interesting and funny, but it wasn't really what I was looking for. While I searched on, a name kept popping up. The title Neon Genesis Evangelion. I checked it out. And I must say...I was taken away by it. Never have I watched as great as this. Then I decided to buy the whole series. Luckily I found a really, really cheap place to buy it. And after this my interest just kept growing and growing. Today it is my greatest pleasure, a really nice hobby.
With over 60 DVDs and about 30 mangas my collection is getting bigger and bigger. I just hope I had a little bit more money
