Snuggle Skunk
When we went out today, there was a few inches of snow on the ground. I'm glad I shut the little doors. Dad pulled the feed bags in and I filled up the water bottles. I checked in Pearl & Burby's pen, and found Dee in there. When I filled up the water bowl in there, I put Dee out and let Powder in. Burby and Powder had a "thing." As soon as she went in, Burby got right to business. Didn't know it was still in him. Pearl is doing fine.
When I sat down, Sophie approached me. Her facial feathers were all wet from drinking. I tried to roll them dry, but didn't get too far. I just held her for a while until she left. Stella came up next. She snuggled right under my chin. Such a sweetie. Marcie came up after, but left soon. Then Stella got down and Skunk sat on my leg. I stroked her for a while before putting her on my lap. She snuggled right in and closed her eyes. Fudgie came up a few times, but never let herself be touched for long. I eventually had to go and put Skunk down. She wasn't too happy about that.
Remember last time when Jenny Attacked me by jumping on my head? I was expecting more of the same, but she was very well behaved. Only fluffed up once!
EGGWATCH! Day 3 *18 Days left*
Things seem fine. Temperature is at 100 degrees. I won't know if they're viable until day 7. I'm just crossing my fingers. If they hatch, it'll be near Christmas.
