((I just realized, this story is somehow related to the game "Left 4 Dead", but I never took the idea from it, even though the character roster is somehow like the L4D characters genderwise, but the creature's were somehow based off of the actual game))
"Oh s**t! Go, go go! They need backup!" Hyrule exclaimed, sprinting for the entrance, instead of carefully opening the door, he decided to break down the door by ramming it with his shoulder. No time for being careful now, they sprinted past the darkness and up the stairs, where they had taken a left.
"Yo! Over here, idioooooo-" Sheep's sentence was cut short as soon as he was thrown down the stairs, rolling down. Tech was left to fend for himself, so he decided to burn some ammo on the beast in front of him.
The snarls of the monster getting hurt only made him fearsome, for he dripped green blood, that seemed to fizzle on the floor, as if it was made by some acidic solution.
"What...the..." Was all Tech could say before being jumped on by the creature, Tech covered up as much as he can with his hand and tried to block the monster's attack, the beast scratched/slashed/punched Tech until Tech couldn't handle it anymore. The creature was soon tossed to the side by a barrage of bullets that whizzed above Tech and straight into the zombie's body.
"Oh, man...this stings like a motherf-" Tech said before he was soon lying on the ground with his head to the side.
Sporadic connected her index and middle finger together and set it in the side of Tech's neck. She nodded and waved her hair. "He's only knocked out, no need for any meds." She finished off the creature by thrusting her foot into it's head, the green blood oozed out slowly, so the group moved Tech's body away.
"Cryoverse Labs?" Hyrule exclaimed examining the dead scientist's body. "His name is Walter Grit. Sounds like he was the only one remaining here. He must've been the one who sent the distress signal...poor b*****d." Hyrule siad before shaking his head and doing his little "tsk, tsk, tsk" routine.
"Hmm, Cryoverse? Sounds a little familiar to me...but there's no time to worry about that. Sheep, get Tech to the truck," Sporadic ordered, "Hyrule and I can handle it from here."
Nodding, he grabbed Tech's arm and put it over his shoulder, dragging him down the stairs.
"Check the top, be careful if any of those cannibal bastards are still up there. For all we know, there could be tons of them up there." Hyrule said going first, "stick together, we can't afford to have you injured, too."
Their flashlights clicked on, and they made their way inside the room. Blood was smeared all over the third floor, computer screens had been destroyed, and sparks occasionally appeared inside the room. Two bodies had been found inside.
"H-help..." A hand grabbed Sporadic's leg, she quickly turned her gun on what had grabbed her leg, but it was a critically injured scientist.
"We got a survivor here, Hyrule," Sporadic grabbed Hyrule's shoulder and made him crouch.
"Questions later. We have to take you to safety." Hyrule said about to grab the scientist.
"Wait...are you crazy? We need to know if she's even infected or not." Sporadic took out a smaller flashlight and dragged the scientist eyelids down, and aimed the light into the eyes. The flashlight zoomed over both eyeballs. "She's clear. That's it for this mission. Let's head back."
Hyrule put the gun back on the holster in his back and carried the scientist down into the truck, where Sheep and Tech were soon talking.
"Someone's back. How'd the searching go?"
"One survivor, critical condition, we need to get her back to the base A.S.A.P." The body was carefully laid in the back of the truck, and the truck made it's way back."
Sheep examined the scientist's ID, after wiping off all the blood, he took off the ID and showed it to Tech.
"So...your name's Averiyx, eh?"
