Leo sighed. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what to do.” He looked at October sitting on hi dinning room table. Ted was standing in front of October hugging her as she sobbed softly. “I’ve seen this once before. Do you know who your birth parents are?” Ted and October looked at Leo. “Right… Sorry.”
“School says that her last name is Norman, but almost everyone at the orphanage is has that last name.” Ted said looking at Leo. “Hey where did Billy go?”
“He was still out late on a school night and he ditched school today so I sent him out to get ice cream.” Leo stood up and walked over to them and looked at October’s face. ‘She looks just like her. Could she be Jackie’s daughter?’ Leo thought.
“Why? Getting ice cream isn’t a punishment.” October said pulling away form Ted and looked at Leo.
“Well it’s his favorite ice cream and he can’t eat it.” Leo said with a smile. Leo gave October her jacket back. “I hope you’ll come back to see me if anything else happens. It was nice to meet you October.” Leo said helping October off of the table and into her jacket.
It was 9 in the morning and Ted didn’t want to go to school. He shook Leo’s hand and said goodbye and he and October left. They saw Billy drive up in his car. “Hey let me put this inside and we’ll leave”. Billy said as he jumped out of the car and ran inside. Ted and October got inside the car.
“Dainon?” Ted asked and the dark haired boy looked up at Ted. “Why are you here? You should be at school.” Ted said pulling Dainon out of the car.
Dainon waited until October was in the car. “I wanted to make sure she was ok.” Dainon turned red.
“Fine.” Ted said getting in the front seat making Dainon sit next to October.
“Dainon?” October asked looking up at Dainon. “Oh my GOD! DAINON!” October gasped and tackled Dainon. “Oh Dainon, I remember you!”
“What?!” Ted said looking back at October glomping Dainon and kissing him. Ten snickered seeing Dainon turn bright red as October’s lips touched his.
