October sat up. She had been lying in someone’s lap. “Oct?” She heard a man say. She looked up. She saw a man in a tight black shirt and green eyes. His black hair fell in her face. “Who… who are you?” She asked. She sat on her legs looking at the man. She was handsome and familiar. But she didn’t know who he was. “Oct? Come on, that’s Ted.” Another said coming up to the bed. He was short and had scary curly hair. He sat on the edge of the bed. October shook her head. “Stop it!” October started crying. She pulled away form Ted and ran out of her room. She looked around. Her red hair was wild. A little red headed boy came up to her and held up his stuffed animal. She looked down at him and went to her knees. The boy touched her face. He hugged her and she hugged back. “October!” The curly haired man came up behind her and tried to pick her up. “Billy, stop it! Something’s happening to Oct. We need to be calm, for her.” Ted came up and touched October’s arm. “Hey honey, come on. We’ll tack you to Leo.” Ted smiled at the little boy and he pulled away form October. Ted got October to her feet. “Thanks kid. Come Oct you need some pants.” “Who’s Leo?” October looked down and her herself in nothing but a black tank top and black panties. She face turned bright red and she pushed her face into Ted’s side. They went back to October’s “room” if that’s what you want to call it. It was meant to be a janitor’s closest. When Ted and Billy helped October move her stuff in it had a desk and a chair and a skin and that was it. It had enough room to keep the desk and the chair and fit two more chairs and her bed. October lived in an orphanage; she was never adopted or fostered. Ted and Billy thought that they should get their parents to adopt her but October wouldn’t let them. “He’s Billy’s father. He’ll know what to do.” Ted said giving October a skirt to put on.
