Hero of the past.
Chapter 1 (the dream) I woke up in a cold sweat. The dream that has hunted my dreams for weeks has come up again only scarier then ever. I looked at my alarm clock. It was midnight. I got up slowly and rubbed my eyes. “It’s just a dream there is nothing to be afraid of.” I though to myself as I got my computer and opened it. I typed my password quietly so no one could here it over my music that was turned down just enough so my mother can here if I was awake or not. I got onto my site where my brother was always on at this time.
“Big brother” I typed in then hit enter. It showed up right after I hit enter.
“What are you doing up so late sis?” The words appeared on my IM page.
“I had the dream again”
“Again that dream has been haunting you sense we went on that ride. I’m starting to worry about you.”
“I know I just can’t get it out of my head that it’s just a dream. I wish it would go away.”
“It will sooner or later. You should get some sleep. You do have school tomorrow.”
“Ok if I can’t sleep can I come down there and sleep with you?”
“Sure. Just make sure you have some pajamas on this time. You remember last time you did have pajamas on.”
“I remember. It was funny though. I liked the look on your face when I snuggled up against you and all you felt was a cold hand on you shoulder.”
“Hey! You just caught me of guard that’s all.” I giggled and turned off my computer. I put in my other music that helped me when I had a problem sleeping. It was the lullaby my mom sang to me when I was really young. I got in my bed again and tried to sleep. I heard voices.
“Don’t sleep. Don’t sleep.” They kept saying over and over. “Don’t sleep. Don’t sleep. Two guys are coming. They are coming for you hero of the past.” I work up and looked around. They kept saying it only adding more things. I wanted to scream but I was frozen. I was terrified. I never felt like this in a long time. I started gasping and crying trying to yell out to my mother. “Don’t move. Don’t speak. Don’t go back, Hero of the past.” I found some energy to move my arms and curl up into a ball while holding my ears. My eyes grew big as the voices grew louder. “Don’t deny your destiny hero of the past! You are what you are! Don’t deny it! We will never leave! Come with us! Come with use and become the hero that was once lost! Become our servant!!” I finally let out a scream. So loud that it woke up everyone in the house even my puppy.
“NO! NO! Got away! Please! Just go!!” I yelled and rolled on my bed. “LEAVE ME ALONE!!” I screeched.
“We won’t leave! We won’t go away! We are you! You are us! Stop denying it!” The voices kept coming. Louder and louder in my head they where taking control of me. My eyes where as wide as they could be. Every part of my body wouldn’t move. I was in shock. I never knew someone could be like this.
“Shadow!” My mom busted into my room. Everyone followed after her. I was breathing heavily. So in fear that my blood had run cold. My body was shacking like crazy. The voices stopped. I could hear my mom tell my brother to call 911. Then I blacked out. My little sister was screaming shacking me like crazy.
To be continued . . .
