My parents drove to Michigan on Friday morning and they're on their way home now. They should be home before I go to bed tonight.
I convinced them to let me stay so I could be independent and see what it's like to live on my own, to a degree. After some confusion they agreed and said it was a test and that if I screwed up then something bad would happen. They gave me a basic set of guidelines to follow, which were incredibly easy, and certain things to do and remember (feeding the cat, cleaning the litterboxes, locking up the house, not running appliances when I'm out or asleep, etc.) Jenna was my sole mode of transportation to and from work. xd Poor her. Because I really don't feel like using the bus yet. I'll start using it soon, but I'd rather not go on it alone the first time.
Friday was nice. I slept in a bit, stretched, plopped my butt in front of the computer and talked to James for a bit, edited and wrote for a bit until I had to go to driving school. I didn't stay up too late because I had to work Saturday morning (because Kiri got me to switch shifts with her razz ). Work was fairly normal on Saturday. I got out around noon and then I went to the Barnes & Noble to get some books. I walked back to work to wait for Jenna to finish her shift and Kiri was there with her mom because they have no life. So Kiri's mom bought me lunch. (My manager Chris accidentally burned my mozzarella sticks and wanted to serve them to me, but Jen made him make some more for me xd ) Then Kiri paid for the meal with her mom's credit card and Mike had to work the register so he could do the 10% discount for employees. He looked at it and said, "Hey, wait...you're not Renee!" Then he grabbed Kiri's arm and took her over to her mom and pretended that she was in huge trouble as I screamed, "IDENTITY THEFT!" All the customers in that area thought we were insane. xd
Jenna gave me a ride home and I spent Saturday night writing, talking to James, and surfin' the net. (I actually NEVER turned on the TV this whole weekend because I spent so much time on the computer. >_> wink I finished the prologue to my story, Animal Instinct, because I suddenly got inspiration to finish it after starting it back in March. A self-publishing company e-mailed me and asked me if I was interested in publishing any of my work because they like my writing style. I told them I wasn't ready to yet, but that in the future I'd keep them in mind.
ZOMG I WAS CONTACTED BY A PUBLISHER!!
I wanted to go to bed early on Saturday because I had to work Sunday morning as well, but I was up past midnight trying to find my Pokemon Diamond game. (I still haven't found it.) I got so angry that I texted Alyssa (who was staying at a friend's house for the weekend) and asked if she had any idea where it was. We still don't know where it could be, but she said she'll give me her copy since she hasn't really been using it. (She bought Pearl before since I bought Diamond; I don't really understand why she also bought Diamond a month later.)
Sunday morning was busy at work since it was Fathers Day. I had to help our busboy out a bit because it got so insanely busy, but I was mainly in charge of seating. I was scheduled to work until 3 but our shift supervisor let me out 10 minutes early since no one was coming in. Then Hope and Tegan picked me up and they took me to my house so I could take out the trash and recycling and grab my stuff. I spent the night at their house and Tegan styled my hair in an updo with 16 or so plastic forks--it was made of awesome. xd We saw the new Indiana Jones movie since their dad wanted to see it and it was Fathers Day. It was reeeeeally bad, but so hilarious at the same time. We kept cracking jokes about senior citizens not being able to do any of that stuff (especially when we saw how many stunt doubles there were in the credits!) and just all the general ridiculousness of it all. Seriously, they were shot at by possibly 30 people while they were driving in a car. Now how in the hell did not at least one bullet hit any of them?!
And Shia LeBeoff (or however the hell you spell his name) is Harrison Ford's son!!! Or rather, Indiana Jones's son, but whatever. Same thing. His character was a punk, and not a very good one.
So now I'm here doing some quick cleaning and running the dishwasher before my parents get home. I should put my clothes away too and just blow them away. James called me after I did some cleaning and when I said, "Oh yeah, I just finished cleaning the litterboxes" and he was like, "...Who are you?!?!?! Where's Carly?! What did you do with her?!" xd
Soooo yeah. It's been a pretty nice weekend. I also like being able to listen to my music as loud as I want.
