With the lips of an angel, but eyes that speak of sin,
You beckon me closer to the darkness held within.
Emerald orbs do draw my gaze, from this spell I cannot break,
Though I cast all else aside, it's you I can't foresake.

You are the poison in my blood, the fire in my veins,
And when the dark night falls, these flames are what remains.
Though shrouded in snow drop jewels and veiled in frosty winds,
This blaze burns ever brighter and the darkest shadow rescinds.

This heat is overwhelming, my soul cries for release,
Shattered like a fragile mirror, you broke me piece by piece.
I try to turn from those piercing eyes, try to look away in vain,
For when I try to look elsewhere my soul is wrought in pain.

What binds me to your side? What force does stay my hand?
For once I was to kill you, but now alone I cannot stand.
Your eyes have become my shelter, the cage that keeps me safe,
That when you turn to walk away, you retain my undying faith.

You walk away and leave me here, and though feeling betrayed,
Those enchanting Emerald orbs, I know, will lead me to the grave.
